Tom Felton and Natalia Tena join YouTube Red series Origin Deadline reports that Harry Potter series alums Tom Felton and Natalia Tena have been tapped to star in the YouTube Red series Origin. The pair are joined by newcomer Sen Mitsuji, plus Nora Arnezeder, Fraser James, Philipp Christopher, Madalyn Horcher, and Siobhán Cullen for the sci-fi thriller series. Created, written and executive produced by Mika Watkins, the series centers on “a group of strangers who find themselves stranded on a spacecraft bound for a distant planet. The abandoned passengers must work together for survival, but quickly realize that one of them is far from who they claim to be.” Paul W.S. YouTube viewers could soon be getting an even bigger dose of Jake Paul. The at times controversial vlogger is developing a talk show with YouTube Red, sources familiar with the project tell The Hollywood Reporter. Although YouTube Red doesn't have traditional programming blocks, the project is expected to have a late night variety show feel. Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens' Propagate Content is producing the untitled series. Gavin Purcell, the showrunner on Sarah Silverman's Hulu talk show I Love You, America, has been tapped to executive produce the pilot, which could be shot as early as May, per sources. The duo are set to reprise their roles as underdog Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) and bully Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) in a 10-episode straight-to-series follow-up called Cobra Kai for subscription service YouTube Red. The series, set to bow in 2018, is set 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament and revolves around a down-and-out Johnny who, seeking redemption, reopens the infamous Cobra Kai dojo. YouTube Red has set a sneak preview in Sundance for Bodied after acquiring the battle rap satire that won the Grolsch People’s Choice Midnight Madness Award in Toronto and is produced by Eminem.The ambitious platform plans a 2018 theatrical release on the film by music video director Joseph Kahn about a progressive grad student whose accidental battle rap success sparks outrage. Battle rapper turned screenwriter Alex Larsen wrote the script.Eminem and his manager and Def Jam Records CEO Paul Rosenberg produced with Adi Shankar and Jil Hardin.Calum Worthy, Jackie Long, Shoniqua Shondai, Walter Perez, and Rory Uphold star.
