Great Expectations , Steven Knight ’s anticipated return to the world of Charles Dickens, has debuted its first teaser trailer (check it out above). The FX / BBC adaptation stars Olivia Colman as Miss Havisham and Fionn Whitehead as Pip along with Tom Sweet as the young Pip. In the brief look at the upcoming limited series, Miss Havisham meets young Pip when he arrives at Satis House for the first time, as she ominously grins, “What a prized creature we have fished from the river.” The limited series is due to air in the spring on BBC One and iPlayer and will stream on Hulu in the U.S. Internationally, it will be available to stream on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ under the Star banner at a later date. MTV To Air ‘Don’t Leave Me Behind’ Commercial-Free, Documentary On Teenage Ukrainian Refugees Traumatized By Russian War
EXCLUSIVE: Russia’s nearly year-long war in Ukraine has claimed the lives of more than 7,000 civilians, including 438 children, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. But the impact of the invasion goes much further than those numbers, of course – the bloodshed has sent more than five million Ukrainians fleeing across the Polish border, reportedly half of them teenagers or younger. Those traumatized Ukrainian teens are the focus of the new documentary Don’t Leave Me Behind: Stories of Young Ukrainian Survival , which will premiere on MTV on February 21, just days before the war’s one-year anniversary. The Only Way is Essex indie Lime Pictures has unveiled UK entertainment vet Mirella Breda as its Chief Creative Officer, Unscripted. Breda, Escape to the Chateau indie Two Rivers Media’s Head of Entertainment, joins in the newly-created role, which was revealed last month following the departure of Lime’s Sarah Tyekiff and decision by the All3Media -backed indie to forge popular factual division with All3Media stablemates Lion Television and Wise Owl Films. Turkey Earthquake: TV Reporter Flees Collapsing Building & Comforts Child During Live Report
A Turkish TV reporter fled from a collapsing building during a live report on the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that hit the country in the early hours of Monday morning. Broadcasting from Malatya, a city in the east of Turkey , the A Haber reporter ran from a building as it gave way, creating a plume of dust and debris. A Haber is a major local news network. The video captures people running from the scene amid screams and the sound of alarms. The reporter and cameraperson appeared unharmed and carried on documenting their experience following the collapse, which was broadcast live at around 1.30PM local time. A second 7.5-magnitude tremor occurred around the same time and was not considered to be an aftershock. In a later video, the journalist is filmed coming to the aid of a young girl, who appears visibly distressed by the scenes around her. It appears to be in the aftermath of the collapse. A Dexter prequel series about the Trinity Killer is being considered at Showtime , following the announcement two spinoff projects have received straight-to-series orders. Not much was revealed about the Trinity killer project, only that it focuses on the makings of the notorious serial killer played by John Lithgow in the original series. Lithgow has previously mentioned Trinity is the character he is most often asked about with most fans confessing how truly horrifying he was to watch.
