Scott Pilgrim will be back, and in computer-generated living color: Netflix has picked up an anime series about the beloved slacker-musician from the classic graphic novels, which was made into a 2010 film that starred Michael Cera . In fact, Cera will lend his voice to the new series as Scott, a member of a garage band who falls for a gal named Ramona but must first defeat her seven previous lovers. Mary Elizabeth Winstead will reprise the role as Ramona. EXCLUSIVE : Venice Film Festival, Netflix and The Gotham Film & Media Institute are teaming up on a program of movies at iconic New York venue, the Paris Theater. Amazon Developing ‘Boys Come First’ Series Based On Aaron Foley’s Debut Novel; Chuck Hayward To Pen The Pilot, Serve As EP
EXCLUSIVE : Amazon Studios has secured rights to Aaron Foley ’s debut novel Boys Come First , with plans to develop the property for television, tapping Chuck Hayward ( Ted Lasso ) to pen the pilot and exec produce the series. Field Trip will produce the show, developed under their overall deal with Amazon Studios , with the company’s co-founders Will Graham and Hailey Wierengo also set to exec produce alongside their VP of Development, Stephanie Dietz.
