The Nashville mass shooter was reportedly torn up over the death of a close friend months before unleashing a murderous attack at a Christian school. Audrey Hale was totally devastated after Sydney Shere Sims was killed in a car crash in August, former classmate Samira Hardcastle told NBC News. Hale "definitely admired" Sims as they together attended Isaiah T. Creswell Middle School of the Arts and the Nashville School of the Arts, Hardcastle said. Maria Colomy , one of Hale's former teachers at another school, recalled that Sims' untimely death was an emotional wrecking ball for her former student. A friend of the Nashville school shooter called police as Audrey Hale unleashed a murderous attack at a Christian school ... pleading for someone to go check on Hale. In 911 audio released Thursday, the shooter's friend, Averianna Patton , tells the dispatcher Hale sent her a string of ominous messages on social media before Monday's shooting. Law enforcement officials tell TMZ ... cops were called to Prive restaurant in Memphis around 11:30 PM Wednesday after a barrage of gunfire erupted in the parking lot, following a confrontation inside the restaurant that eventually spilled outside. Deadline has confirmed that Netflix film executives Lisa Nishimura and Ian Bricke are exiting the streamer amid a reorganization of the film group. All live-action film content now will be overseen by Kira Goldberg, Ori Marmur and Niija Kuykendall. We hear that Netflix will continue to make indie pics, and that this whole plan was part of streamlining and solidifying ops. Netflix yesterday gave The Night Agent a quick Season 2 pickup only six days after the action-thriller from creator Shawn Ryan and Sony Pictures TV launched with the third-best premiere week of viewing for a new series — only behind Wednesday and Dahmer — putting the series starring Gabriel Basso on track to potentially land in the Top 5 of Netflix’s all-time most popular series. “I’m still getting my head around it,” Ryan, creator of The Shield and showrunner of S.W.A.T. , said. “I’ve had a long career and certainly some success stories, but nothing quite like this in terms of intense, immediate fan reaction.
