Great American Community , the free direct-to-consumer app from Great American Media, has set its slate for next month’s launch with 15 original shortform series featuring well-known TV hosts, presenters and actors. The app debuts Monday, September 26, with multiple episodes of all series available on day one and new episodes premiering on regularly scheduled days throughout the year. EXCLUSIVE : Chloë Sevigny has been tapped as a lead opposite Naomi Watts in Feud: Capote’s Women , the second installment of FX’s anthology series from Ryan Murphy and Plan B. Reps for FX and 29th Television, which is behind the Feud franchise, declined comment. Jon Robin Baitz is writing all eight episodes and serving as showrunner of the new season. If there’s one movie that’s going to pull ahead, sources are betting on Crunchyroll ’s Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero . That distributor has proven in a short amount of time that they can draw a great deal of anime fans in a Friday through Sunday span. The Tetsuro Kodama directed animation movie is looking at anywhere from $12M-$15M , ahead of Universal ’s genre lion-stalking film, Beast , starring Idris Elba; that pic hoping for at least double digits. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, booked in around 3,940 theaters, will be armed with all premium ticket formats, i.e. 4DX, Imax, Dolby and D-box, and will kick off showtimes at 5PM on Thursday. Ellia Green, a retired Australian rugby champ, made history as the first Olympian to come out as a transgender man. Green — who has kept his name — announced his transition in a video yesterday, Aug. 16, tied to the Bingham Cup, a biennial gay and inclusive rugby tournament. In the video, Green spoke about grappling with mental health issues as his rugby career drew to a close (he officially retired in 2021). He said that the “one promise that I made to myself is that when my rugby career ended, I would continue to live the rest of my life in the identity… in the body that I should have.” While Green was part of the Australian rugby sevens team that won gold at the 2016 Olympics , he wasn’t selected for the team for the 2020 Tokyo games (which were held in 2021 due to the pandemic).
