UPDATE: Representatives from The Walt Disney Co. and Universal Parks and Resorts were among those  at a White House meeting with President Donald Trump on Tuesday as the administration unveils a gigantic stimulus and bailout plan for the economy because of the coronavirus. One after another, the executives outlined toll that the closure of their operations has had on their workforce and their revenue. White House Deputy Press Secretary T.J. Ducklo was suspended for one week without pay after a report that he threatened a reporter for Politico . Ducklo also will no longer be assigned to work with Politico’s reporting team. On Friday, Vanity Fair reported that Ducklo had a verbal confrontation with Politico ‘s Tara Palmeri, who was working on a story on his relationship with a reporter for Axios , Alexi McCammond. A male Politico reporter had contacted Ducklo, while Palmeri had contacted McCammond. But Ducklo called Palmeri to object to the piece. “I will destroy you” if the story was published, Ducklo told her, according to Vanity Fair . White House Deputy Press Secretary TJ Ducklo has resigned, after a report that he threatened a journalist for Politico . White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement on Saturday, “We accepted the resignation of TJ Ducklo after a discussion with him this evening. This conversation occurred with the support of the White House Chief of Staff.
