“ Billy Bush will be leaving the Today Show’s 9 AM hour, effective today,” NBC News SVP Noah Oppenheim said this evening in a note to staff. In the carefully worded statement, Oppenheim called Bush “a valued colleague and longtime member of the broader NBC family” adding that they wish him success as he goes forward. In a separate statement, Bush said he was “deeply grateful for the conversations I’ve had with my daughters, and for all of the support from family, friends and colleagues” adding that he is looking “forward to what lies ahead.” With the announcement, NBC News has said so long to Bush, ridding itself of the Today show anchor heard round the TV news landscape giggling his way through a lewd conversation with Donald Trump about women, including Bush’s then- Access Hollywood co-host Nancy O’Dell. Tamron Hall has left NBC News , after becoming the most high-profile flotsam and jetsam of the division’s hire of Megyn Kelly — who is getting, among other things, the third hour of Today that Hall co-hosted. It was the Hall talks that led NBC News to inform Today staff of its Kelly-related 9 AM shakeup. Hall had to be told last week, because her contract was coming up and her reps were in talks with the news division. Last week, a source reported that the news division hoped she would stick around, continuing to appear on Today ‘s mothership 7-9 AM show and hosting MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall. Though Hall has exited, Al Roker will continue to host at 9 AM until Kelly joins the lineup in the fall. Oprah Winfrey joined CBS This Morning today to reflect on her bombshell interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle — and in doing so, cast more light on one of the most shocking revelations from the conversation: That a member of the royal family raised questions about the color of their son’s skin. Markle revealed in the CBS special on Sunday that there were “concerns and conversations about how dark [Archie’s] skin was going to be when he was born.” Prince Harry added: “That conversation, I’m never going to share. International Women's Day is celebrated today (March 8). It is dedicated honoring the achievements of women, all across the world. While talking to TOI, Sidharth Shukla revealed that it's his mother who has had a major impact on his life. Apart from her, he said that his sisters has had an influence on his life and called them his heroes. Sidharth said that his sisters have a huge role to play in the way he think and made him realise the importance of women. He added, "I have two elder sisters, and they were my heroes while I was growing up. Their definition of an ideal man is how I always wanted to be.
