Said Gunn on Twitter, “My thoughts are no one has been cast as Superman yet.” “Casting, as is almost always the case with me, will happen after the script is finished or close to finished, and it isn’t,” he continued. “We’ll announce a few things in not too long, but the casting of Superman won’t be one of them,” Gunn added. Meanwhile, Batman director Matt Reeves in a sitdown with Collider revealed that he’s expected to meet with Gunn and fellow co-DC Boss Peter Safran in the next few weeks. The new DC administration is expected to unveil their eight-ten year plan for the comic book universe. “The Batverse thing, as James has said, and as Peter has said, is kind of its own thing they’re letting us do,” Reeves told Collider. ‘Till’ Star Tosin Cole: From Larking About In The ‘House Party’ Reboot To Portraying A Civil Rights Legend
Tosin Cole was larking about on the set of the Warner Bros House Party reboot in Los Angeles when an email dropped from casting director Kim Coleman ( BlacKkKlansman ) about Emmett Till ’s story. “I was like, ‘I’m filming for months non stop, I want to go home,’ ” he recalls thinking. “They wanted me to go for Medgar Evers , and I was like, ‘I don’t know who that is. Let me think about it.’ “ His agent brought him up short telling him, “No, you got to do it. At least send a tape.” “I was like, ‘I’m doing night shifts in LA. I don’t know when I’ll have time,’ ” he worried. That’s when Barbara Broccoli, an executive producer of UAR’s Till , zinged him a message saying, “We’d love to have you on board, if you can.” That missive sharpened Cole’s mind. Besides overseeing the James Bond universe with Michael G. Wilson, Broccoli’s active in theater and independent film production. ‘Poker Face’: “Endless Possibilities” For Natasha Lyonne’s Human BS Detector To Keep Solving Crimes Past Season 1
Poker Face , Rian Johnson ’s drama series starring Natasha Lyonne as a human bullsh*t detector, wasn’t conceived as a limited series and the Knives Out filmmaker said there are “endless possibilities” to continue in success. Lyonne stars as Charlie, an effortlessly cool, cheap beer drinking woman with a preternatural ability to solve crimes. After a casino boss seeks her out to use her abilities for nefarious purposes, Charlie goes on the run and gets mixed up in more crimes. Johnson says that it’s a “how to catch ‘em” rather than a whodunnit as the crime is front and center in each episode. But while there’s one story that arcs through the ten-episode season, one involving Benjamin Bratt’s security expert, it’s ostensibly a procedural. Lyonne said that she loved characters such as Peter Falk’s Columbo , Elliott Gould’s Philip Marlowe in The Long Goodbye and Dennis Franz’s Andy Sipowicz in NYPD Blue. Johnson added that he took inspiration from series … [Read more...] about ‘Poker Face’: “Endless Possibilities” For Natasha Lyonne’s Human BS Detector To Keep Solving Crimes Past Season 1

‘The View’ Audience Member – And Likely Book Fan – Calls Whoopi Goldberg An “Old Broad”
Was an audience member at The View today insulting Whoopi Goldberg by yelling out “You old broad”? Nah. More likely she was a fan and reader of Goldberg’s own book, Two Old Broads , published in November, even if The View moderator didn’t seem to make an immediate connection. As the the cohosts took their seats, a woman in a row near the stage could be heard shouting what sounded like “You old broad!” Goldberg stopped her own intro to address the jovial woman, who was shown on camera wearing a large furry hat. “We’re happy to see ya’ll,” Goldberg began. “Cool, well, go on and have a seat,” the moderator said, then noted how “very happy” the enthusiastic audience was. At that point, Goldberg stopped and said, “Did you just call me an old broad?” For a moment Goldberg seemed to take offense, then broke into a smile and joked, “She said, ‘You old broad,’ and I was like, hey, it’s Wednesday, and I am an old broad, and happy about it.” Goldberg then said, “The … [Read more...] about ‘The View’ Audience Member – And Likely Book Fan – Calls Whoopi Goldberg An “Old Broad”
