Mark Wilson, an influential magician who played a pioneering role in proving that magic could thrive on television, has died. He was 91. Wilson died Jan. 19 of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles, a publicist announced. From 1960-65, Wilson produced and starred with his wife, Nani Darnell, in the first network TV series of its type, The Magic Land of Allakazam , which ran on Saturday mornings on CBS, ABC and then in syndication and featured Bev Bergeron as Rebo the Clown. Lars-Göran Petrov, widely known as LG Petrov — frontman for Swedish metal bands Entombed , Entombed A.D. and Firespawn — has died. He was 49. Entombed A.D. confirmed Petrov’s death in a post on Facebook Monday, March 8th. Last year, Petrov revealed that he’d been diagnosed with bile duct cancer, writing in a note on a GoFundMe page that doctors were unable to remove the cancer, but were trying to “control it with chemotherapy.” “Our brother, leader, vocalist, our Chief Rebel Angel went on another ride last night,” Entombed A.D. wrote on Facebook. “It’s with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that Lars-Göran Petrov has left us. UPDATE (3/2): The members of Akron/Family and Miles Seaton’s widow, Leanne Pedante, have shared a new remembrance page honoring the musician, who died last month. The page also revealed that Seaton’s cause of death was a single-car crash on I-5 near Fresno, California on February 17th; it’s still unclear what exactly was wrong with the truck Seaton was driving when the crash occurred. In a statement, Pedante wrote, “In the days since his death, his family and friends have constantly shared the lessons that Miles left us with: to be present in the process rather than obsess over the product; to break your heart open and connect deeply with everyone you can; to see that it is never ‘either/or’ but always ‘both/and.’ The nightmarish reality that someone who so generously taught us all how to really live is now dead can’t be put into words.
