When "Summer House" returned for its third season last month, the cast had undergone a major shakeup, with three new cast members joining the Hamptons share house: Hannah Berner, Jordan Verroi and Paige DeSorbo, who knew each other from work.Of the three new additions, Berner has emerged as the new de facto voice of the people, oftentimes saying what everyone is thinking but what nobody else is willing to say and always finding a way to bring humor to any given situation. SEE ALSO: Here's what the stars of 'Summer House' had to say about that big casting switch-up As the host of the "Berning in Hell" podcast, it's no wonder that Berner had clearly been able to hone her voice, but on "Summer House," the newly-minted reality star found that she had to adapt to the format. Used to creating and editing her own viral videos, crafting perfectly hilarious tweets and hosting her own podcast, jumping into a scenario where she's at the behest of the show's editors and cameraman … [Read more...] about Hannah Berner talks all things ‘Summer House’ season 3: Who did she say is her ‘secret weapon’?
When calls the heart season 3
6 minutes ago When Calls the Heart has returned to Hallmark for its sixth season, and it's bound to be very different from seasons past for a bunch of reasons, not least of which is the arrival of Elizabeth's baby. Aside from a Christmas special that aired back in December, the show has been off the air since April 2018. It seems a whole lot of fans were ready for it to be back, as the Season 6 premiere broke records and came just behind The Walking Dead. Who would have ever thought? In Live+3 day calculations, the Season 6 premiere of When Calls the Heart ranks as the #2 original scripted show of the week, coming in behind just The Walking Dead. Who could have guessed that a show about a small Canadian town would be just behind the show about the zombie apocalypse? At least Jack didn't die via zombie bite, baseball bat, or whatever those Whisperers have in store for the survivors next on The Walking Dead. Things are looking up on When Calls the Heart! The Season 6 premiere, … [Read more...] about When Calls The Heart Season 6 Premiere Sees Record Ratings, Just Behind The Walking Dead
12 minutes ago Major spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't yet watched the entirety of True Detective Season 3, all the way through the finale. In no universe could True Detective's third season finale have matched up with the stockpiled theories that fans have been cultivating since the first trailer was released. Though creator Nic Pizzolatto said from the start that viewers were quickly made privy to where the story was going in all respects, viewers bucked logic and imparted hyperbolic meaning into every line, look and camera move. In the end, True Detective Season 3 wasn't about solving a 35-year-old mystery, but rather dissecting the unfortunately haunted nooks and crannies of a former detective's deteriorating mind. Audiences and critics have embraced it on the whole, though many questions were left bouncing around our heads when the finale's credits rolled. Thankfully, Nic Pizzolatto volunteered to soothe everyone's obsessive curiosities by offering up a smorgasbord of … [Read more...] about True Detective Creator Answered Most Of The Season 3 Finale’s Biggest Questions
Posted on Friday, February 8th, 2019 by Fred Topel Dear White People has always used topical issues to inspire its storylines. Season one dealt with the aftermath of a blackface party on a college campus and an incident of police violence. Season two dealt with social media trolls and the rise of the alt-right. Series creator Justin Simien told the Television Critics Association what season three would tackle when the press visited the set of the show’s third season. “This year, some would call it an overcorrection but I think it’s probably a necessary reckoning of re-evaluating people,” Simien said. “We find some of our heroes to be more problematic than we had hoped and what do we do with that? In a community where we really need our heroes, that was an over-arcing theme this year.” Problematic heroes have revealed themselves a lot in the previous year. Just this week, Liam Neeson revealed a racially motivated revenge plot of his youth, which may … [Read more...] about ‘Dear White People’ Season 3 Tackles Problematic Heroes and Jumps One Semester Ahead [TCA 2019]
8 minutes ago Spoilers lie ahead for Episode 12 of Lethal Weapon Season 3, called "The Roger and Me." Damon Wayans made huge news back in 2018 when he unexpectedly announced his intention to leave his role as co-lead of Fox's Lethal Weapon at the end of the third season. The show had only just gotten through writing out the first original co-lead of the series due to actor Clayne Crawford's firing, and it was difficult to imagine that Lethal Weapon would get rid of one partner the same way it had gotten rid of the first. Now, the events of "The Roger and Me" may have presented the way Lethal Weapon intends to say goodbye to Roger Murtaugh. On top of the usual action-packed shenanigans that generally fill an hour of Lethal Weapon, Murtaugh took the time to deliver a guest lecture to a group of promising prospective LAPD cadets. He was a hit with the crowd, and although the lecture was later played for laughs when it was revealed that everybody loved his lecture because they … [Read more...] about How Lethal Weapon Could Say Goodbye To Murtaugh In Season 3
