Earlier today, Marvel announced that their highly-anticipated sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp will hit theaters in July 2018, while shifting the release dates for Black Panther (February 16, 2018) and Captain Marvel (March 8, 2019). With their massive Phase Three lineup all set, the studio has started to focus on Phase Four, setting three 2020 release dates for unspecified projects. Marvel’s Doctor Strange Will Be an Origin Movie
Over the course of Phase One and Phase Two, Marvel has told several origin stories. Back in August 2014, a rumor surfaced that one of Marvel's most highly-anticipated movies, Doctor Strange, was going to shake things up a bit, discarding the origin story from the comics and starting with Dr. Stephen Strange already established as a superhero. With production now set to begin in November, Kevin Feige debunked that previous report, revealing that they are sticking with the origin story from the Doctor Strange comics, while teasing that they may have a different way to tell it. Doctor Strange has one of the best, most classic, most unique origin stories of any hero we have, so why wouldn't we do that? That was sort of always the plan. How you tell that origin, perhaps … [Read more...] about Marvel’s Doctor Strange Will Be an Origin Movie

Stephen King has given the Child's Play remake his official seal of approval. The horror legend didn't expect anything from the movie at all and didn't even bother seeing it in the theater. However, it sounds like he wishes he would have gone to see what Lars Klevberg and crew created on the big screen after watching it at home. Obviously, there was quite a bit of controversy surrounding the movie upon its announcement and arrival. There were and are still many who believe the franchise should have been left alone. Stephen King may have had some misgivings about the Child's Play remake at first, but that all subsided once he hit play at home. King's thoughts about the idea of the remake likely mirror those of horror fans who still have yet to see the movie. While the reviews were mixed, a lot of younger fans were into the remake. King had this to say in his review. "I didn't go see it in the theaters, because I thought, 'Well, this is just another warmed-over sequel.' Mark Hamill does … [Read more...] about Stephen King on the Child’s Play Remake: I Just F-ing Loved That Movie
