TMZ.com Michael Irvin will no longer be one of the faces of NFL Network's Super Bowl coverage this week -- the former Dallas Cowboys star who's turned into a huge TV personality has been pulled from shows following an incident he had with a woman in Arizona on Sunday night. Irvin told the Dallas Morning News the encounter happened at a hotel in Glendale -- the site of this weekend's SB LVII -- after he had returned to the property following a night out on the town. Irvin says he spoke with the woman for roughly 45 seconds in the lobby -- and described it all as an almost entirely non-physical interaction. The woman, though, according to the DMN, launched a complaint about Irvin's actions -- leading to the NFLN pulling him from their coverage on Tuesday. Something happened when NFL Network analyst Michael Irvin was checking into his hotel to begin coverage of Super Bowl LVII. As a result, the NFL Network is checking him out of its plans to cover the event. A woman made an unspecified complaint against Irvin as the catalyst for his abrupt dismissal. The incident between the two happened as he was checking in to an Arizona hotel. What was said in the exchange or the nature of the complaint has not been revealed. The NFL Network issued a terse statement. “Michael Irvin will not be part of the NFL Network’s Super Bowl 2023 week coverage,” NFL Network spokesman Alex Reithmiller said in a statement, but did not elaborate. WGA West Sets First Membership Meetings To Discuss Upcoming Contract Talks
The WGA West on Saturday will hold its first membership meeting to discuss its upcoming negotiations with the AMPTP for a new film and TV contract. Two other membership meetings are scheduled in Los Angeles later this month, and one will be held in New York. John August , a member of the WGA Negotiating Committee, spoke recently on his Scriptnotes podcast about the upcoming meetings and what members should expect as the process unfolds.
