A man was arrested at the home of Frances Bean Cobain today after a housesitter discovered him inside without permission ... TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Cobain's housesitter came across the man when she returned home today. We're told the man -- a white male in his 20s -- claimed he knew Cobain and she had given him permission to stay there. Our sources say the housesitter didn't buy his story, so she called police. When cops arrived, we're told he gave the same story. Jason was out partying late with friends Sunday night ... and knew he was too drunk to drive home, so he responsibly got a ride from a sober friend. We're told the friend dropped Jason off near the Bev Hills home where Sullivan has been living ... but in the moments after he exited the car, the drunk Australian interior decorator became confused ... and tried to enter an adjacent home ... which happens to belong to Tom Cruise. Governor Jerry Brown talked about the promise of California and played up the state’s economic comeback during a campaign fundraiser Thursday at Disney Studio boss Alan Horn’s Bel-Air home. A mostly industry crowd of about 100 including Robert Downey Jr. and Larry Flynt turned out for the 6:30-8:15 PM event, which was put on by a Hollywood political patrician guard. Co-hosts included Jeffrey Katzenberg , Warner Bros’ Barry Meyer and Kevin Tsujihara , Fox’s Jim Gianopulos, Universal’s Ron Meyer, Paramount’s Brad Grey, Sony’s Michael Lynton and MPAA chief Chris Dodd as well as Steven Spielberg and David Geffen , though Geffen didn’t attend. All of the co-hosts had pledged to raise $54,440 each for Brown’s re-election campaign next year. Tickets for the event went from $5,000 to mogul-level $27,200. Getty UPDATE 12:56 PM PT -- Scales just posted a photo of himself in the hospital ... a good sign he's gonna be OK. UPDATE Nappy Roots rapper Fish Scales is lucky to be alive after he was shot, robbed and kidnapped outside an Atlanta brewery he co-owns. Police say two suspects first robbed a customer in the parking lot before entering Atlantucky Brewery and forcing Scales into his car at gunpoint. The robbers then drove Scales up the road to his home in a neighboring suburb where he was able to escape, but not before being shot in the leg during a struggle. Scales, who is one-fourth of the Grammy-nominated rap group, is now resting in the hospital -- Nappy Roots put out a statement saying, "We are so thankful our brother is safe and on the road to recovery."
