February 8, 2023 by www.tmz.com

TMZSports.com Andy Reid does NOT need a second Super Bowl title this weekend to cement his eventual place in Canton ... so says ex-NFL head coach Brad Childress , who tells TMZ Sports the Chiefs honcho is already a Hall of Fame lock. Reid's resume is ultra-impressive -- he's been a head coach for 24 seasons and has piled up a staggering 247 wins to just 138 losses ... but, some have wondered if dropping his Super Bowl record to 1-3 Sunday could somehow hold him back from eventual enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Childress, though, told us this week there's no chance that happens ... even if the 64-year-old loses to the Philadelphia Eagles in Arizona. Getty "He's already a Hall of Fame guy," Childress said. "All [a win] does is put some sprinkles on top of the sundae." In fact, Childress -- who coached for years as an assistant on several of Reid's staffs -- said he believes the K.C. head man already has a case to be on … [Read more...] about Andy Reid Is Lock For Hall Of Fame No Matter SB Outcome, Ex-NFL HC Brad Childress Says

Michael Irvin Pulled From NFL Network’s Super Bowl Coverage After Incident W/ Woman

February 8, 2023 by www.tmz.com

TMZ.com Michael Irvin will no longer be one of the faces of NFL Network's Super Bowl coverage this week -- the former Dallas Cowboys star who's turned into a huge TV personality has been pulled from shows following an incident he had with a woman in Arizona on Sunday night. Irvin told the Dallas Morning News the encounter happened at a hotel in Glendale -- the site of this weekend's SB LVII -- after he had returned to the property following a night out on the town. Irvin says he spoke with the woman for roughly 45 seconds in the lobby -- and described it all as an almost entirely non-physical interaction. The woman, though, according to the DMN, launched a complaint about Irvin's actions -- leading to the NFLN pulling him from their coverage on Tuesday. Getty Irvin says he's been left "perplexed" by it all -- explaining to the outlet it was such an innocuous conversation, he hardly even remembered it. "When I got back after going … [Read more...] about Michael Irvin Pulled From NFL Network’s Super Bowl Coverage After Incident W/ Woman

NFL Network Boots Analyst Michael Irvin From Super Bowl Coverage After Hotel Incident

February 8, 2023 by deadline.com

Something happened when NFL Network analyst Michael Irvin was checking into his hotel to begin coverage of Super Bowl LVII. As a result, the NFL Network is checking him out of its plans to cover the event. A woman made an unspecified complaint against Irvin as the catalyst for his abrupt dismissal. The incident between the two happened as he was checking in to an Arizona hotel. What was said in the exchange or the nature of the complaint has not been revealed. The NFL Network issued a terse statement. “Michael Irvin will not be part of the NFL Network’s Super Bowl 2023 week coverage,” NFL Network spokesman Alex Reithmiller said in a statement, but did not elaborate. Irvin gave an interview with “Shan & RJ” on 105.3 to explain his side of the story. “Sunday night … when I came into the hotel, they asked what I did and I said, ‘I just went straight to the room,’ ” Irvin said. “But I guess I had met somebody in the lobby. Talked to somebody in the lobby for … [Read more...] about NFL Network Boots Analyst Michael Irvin From Super Bowl Coverage After Hotel Incident

February 8, 2023 by deadline.com

SPOILER ALERT! This post contains details from the Season 9 premiere of The Flash on The CW . The Flash is nearly done fighting crime in Central City — but not before one final villain comes to town. The CW series’ ninth and final season kicked off Wednesday night with the introduction of some new hurdles for Barry Allen and Team Flash to overcome. The episode begins with Barry and Iris (Candice Patton) getting stuck in a time loop, which exacerbates some of their fears about the passing of time and the lack of control they have over what may or may not happen to them. In order to get out of it, the couple must decide to take on life head on, together — rather than avoiding the problem and each other. But just when things seem to be settling down again, Barry is faced with yet another bump in the road. Viewers will remember that, at the end of Season 8, Caitlin is on a mission to bring back Frost after she sacrificed herself by turning into Hellfrost to … [Read more...] about ‘The Flash’ Boss Eric Wallace Teases Season 9’s Big Bad & Explains What’s In Store For Final Episodes

WGA West Sets First Membership Meetings To Discuss Upcoming Contract Talks

February 8, 2023 by deadline.com

The WGA West on Saturday will hold its first membership meeting to discuss its upcoming negotiations with the AMPTP for a new film and TV contract. Two other membership meetings are scheduled in Los Angeles later this month, and one will be held in New York. John August , a member of the WGA Negotiating Committee, spoke recently on his Scriptnotes podcast about the upcoming meetings and what members should expect as the process unfolds. He also downplayed rumors of a threatened strike “because honestly, none of us know what’s gonna happen.” “If you’re a WGA member, you should definitely go to one of the member meetings,” he told Scriptnotes producer Megana Rao. “It’s at these member meetings where you first hear from the Negotiating Committee about what the plans and priorities are. It’s also where there’s people with microphones, asking questions, giving their real-time feedback – applause and cheers and all of this happens live and in a room. It’s not as fun as this … [Read more...] about WGA West Sets First Membership Meetings To Discuss Upcoming Contract Talks
