Fox News mysteriously went silent for about seven seconds Friday afternoon during an argument between The Five’s Dana Perino and Bob Beckel about how much President Barack Obama deserves blame for the rise of ISIS in Iraq. The expressions on the faces of the other hosts seated around the table revealed that Perino had said something somewhat scandalous in Beckel’s direction. “You said the b-word,” Greg Gutfeld said, laughing, at the show cut to commercial.Perino explained, at least to some degree, what she said on Twitter after the show:Presumably, she thought people like Beckel should stop “bitching” about the Iraqi Army’s failures and instead focus on what the United States can do to improve the situation there.Watch video below, via Fox News:[h/t soopermexican]Photo via screengrab]— —>> Follow Matt Wilstein (@TheMattWilstein) on Twitter Have a tip we should know? Megyn Kelly tonight confronted a Republican congressman over Donald Trump suddenly backing away from the idea of investigating Hillary Clinton, saying that she’s been through enough.Sean Duffy insisted that “lock her up” was about the emails, but the investigation over the Clinton Foundation is still underway. Kelly said that Trump “did not make that distinction today.”Trump said he doesn’t want to “hurt” Clinton and even praised the good work of the Clinton Foundation.Kelly told Duffy this is “very different” from what both he and Trump were saying months ago. She highlighted how during a Trump rally back in August, when people chanted “lock her up!”, Duffy responded, “We have to elect Donald Trump to do that!”She asked Duffy how he can reconcile that with this new “for the good of the country…” talk, given the natural response from many that this is just “lying politicians who … [Read more...] about ‘You Were the Ones Saying Lock Her Up!’: Megyn Kelly Grills GOP Rep. on Trump Flip-Flop
Bill O’Reilly has reviewed Megyn Kelly‘s interview with Alex Jones from last night, and he has concluded that the whole thing was not worth it for NBC.In a column for The Hill, O’Reilly offered praise to his fellow Fox News alumnus, stating that Kelly was “clear and concise” in her questioning, and that she had been “mistreated” by critics who didn’t approve of her giving exposure to Jones. Even so, O’Reilly stated that there was “not enough news value” in simply reminding the public that Jones is a “callous huckster.”“I mean, what did we learn,” O’Reilly asked. “That Jones’ preposterous contention that the massacre in Connecticut was faked to whip up anti-gun sentiment is cruel and stupid? Every sane person knows that.”O’Reilly suggested that NBC might’ve “legitimized the situation” by digging harder into Jones’ pattern or pushing … [Read more...] about ‘What Did We Learn?’ O’Reilly Pans NBC Over Megyn Kelly’s Interview With Alex Jones
A version of this story first appeared in the Jan. 3, 2014, issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. It was supposed to be a joke, a prank for their Norwegian talk show, Tonight With Ylvis. When Bard and Vegard Ylvisaker (better known as Ylvis) recorded the now-ubiquitous "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" with renowned producers Stargate, the brothers hoped the song would fail so they could go on air and say they blew their chance to make a hit. PHOTOS: 'Duck Dynasty,' Matthew McConaughey, 'Breaking Bad' and the Rule Breakers of 2013 The Norwegian comedy duo even started working on a book for the stunt. "We thought it would be funny if we had, like, a tanked song project and merchandise that was really well made," explains Bard, 31. But the video of their song quickly went viral on YouTube, racking up 20 million views in a week. As of early December, the video had more than 275 million views and was named YouTube's top trending video of 2013.Over the past few months, … [Read more...] about Ylvis’ Plans After ‘The Fox’: ‘We Won’t Be Disappointed If We’re Kicked Out of the Country’
