ITV has confirmed that hit entertainment show Love Island will be restored to its summer schedule after last year’s sun-soaked dating format was derailed by the coronavirus pandemic. ITV’s content chief Kevin Lygo said Love Island will be back after it has been off-air for around a year. The last season was a winter version, filmed in South Africa by ITV Studios for ITV2. His confirmation follows ITV CEO Carolyn McCall saying last month that this year’s season was in the balance as Covid-19 continues to rampage across Europe. “We will want to put Love Island on air because it’s been off air for a little while [after] we didn’t do it last summer. We’re looking at all our options at the moment because the pandemic makes that hard,” she told the BBC. A new video has been released for Tom Petty ’s Wildflowers -era rarity, “You Saw Me Comin’,” which will appear on the upcoming release, Finding Wildflowers (Alternate Versions) , out April 16th. The new video was directed by Joel Kazuo Knoernschild and Katie Malia, who pair the simmering rocker with an array of stunning natural scenes. Every now and then, the footage is reversed or flipped, injecting a somewhat surreal element into all that serenity. In a statement, the Heartbreakers’ Benmont Tench said of “You Saw Me Comin’,” “There’s this kind of longing in the song, in the way that he wrote the chord structure, the melody and the lyrics. ‘Breathe’ Producer Abundantia Entertainment Acquires Indian YA Spy Novel ‘Along Came A Spyder’ For Series Adaptation
EXCLUSIVE: Mumbai-based Abundantia Entertainment , which has credits including the Amazon series Breathe and follow-up Breathe: Into The Shadows, has taken rights to the Indian young adult book Along Came A Spyder . The novel, written by Apeksha Rao, follows seventeen-year-old Samira who is smart, sassy, and whose only dream in life is to follow in her family’s footsteps and become a spy. Leading missions, running agents, evading exploding napalms – she wants to do it all while dealing with the coming-of-age pangs on her budding youth. When she accidentally discovers there exists a sisterhood of teen spies called ‘The Spyders’, Samira will do anything to get in. Abundantia will develop the book as a series under its new banner Filters, a content vertical dedicated to young adults.
