Jeff Bridges accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of his staggering 70-year career in Hollywood at the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards on Sunday. Upon his arrival on stage, Bridges jokingly channeled his iconic character, the Dude from The Big Lebowski before launching into a heartfelt tribute to his esteemed parents, Lloyd Bridges and Dorothy Bridges “If I was the Dude from The Big Lebowski, he would say, ‘This is just like, your opinion, man.’” said Bridges. “Today is my dad’s birthday. ‘Tomb Raider’ TV-Film Universe With Phoebe Waller-Bridge In Works At Amazon Studios

UPDATED : Amazon Studios has tapped Phoebe Waller-Bridge to write a TV series as part of a potential Tomb Raider universe that would span television, film and games. According to sources, the TV series is in the works from the prolific Waller-Bridge, creator of Fleabag and Killing Eve and writer on No Time To Die and Solo: A Star Wars Story , and she also could be involved in the potential movie. Dmitri Johnson from dj2, who had secured the rights to the IP, is overseeing the development of the franchise and producing. The projects are part of a Tomb Raider multi-platform universe Amazon has been putting together, which also includes games; Amazon Games and Crystal Dynamics announced a couple of weeks ago an agreement to develop a new Tomb Raider single-player game. EXCLUSIVE : A new installment of Tron is coming back online. The Dish hears that Disney is in early negotiations to set Joachim Rønning to direct Jared Leto in Tron: Ares . The film is crewing up, eyeing an August start date in Vancouver. Deals aren’t complete yet, but this would mark the fourth collaboration between Disney and the Norwegian filmmaker who helmed Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
