‘Luca’ Teaser: Disney And Pixar Announce Voice Cast, Unveil Trailer For Upcoming Animated Feature

Jacob Tremblay , Jack Dylan Grazer, Emma Berman, Maya Rudolph, Marco Barricelli and Jim Gaffigan will be featured in the voice cast of the upcoming Disney-Pixar animated feature film Luca . The cast, along with a teaser trailer and poster, was unveiled today. Watch the teaser above, and see additional photos below. Disney and Pixar describe Luca as “a fun and heartwarming story about friendship, stepping out of your comfort zone and two teenage sea monsters who experience a life-changing summer.” Luca is directed by Academy Award nominee Enrico Casarosa ( La Luna ) and produced by Andrea Warren ( Lava, Cars 3 ). ‘Rugrats’: Original Voice Cast Members To Reunite For Series Revival At Paramount+

The Rugrats gang is coming back in more ways than one. Nickelodeon has revealed that the voice cast behind the original 1991 animated series will reprise their roles for the revival show at Paramount+. Returning to voice the iconic cartoon toddlers are E.G. Daily (Tommy Pickles), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie Finster), Cheryl Chase (Angelica Pickles), Cree Summer (Susie Carmichael) and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil DeVille). The CG-reimagining of the beloved series follows the toddlers as they explore the world and beyond from their pint-sized and wildly imaginative point-of-view. Audible To Launch ‘The United States vs. Billie Holiday’ Companion Podcast

EXCLUSIVE : Billie Holiday is getting the feature treatment in The United States vs. Billie Holiday and now she’s also getting a podcast . Audible is launching Billie Was a Black Woman, written, created and hosted by Rebecca Carroll. The four-part series refract Black womanhood through the prism of the life of legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday – her stories, her music, and her complicated legacy. In each episode, Carroll dives into different facets of Billie’s life, exploring what it means to defy the narrow categorizations thrust upon Black artists, Black bodies, and Black womanhood today. The podcast will be followed by a special episode that celebrates how her legacy has inspired the work of those who followed her. Art Directors Guild Awards Nominations: ‘Mank’, ‘Tenet’, ‘Promising Young Woman’ And ‘The Flight Attendant’ On List

The Art Directors Guild has unveiled nominations for its 25th annual Excellence in Production Design Awards, which celebrate the year’s best achievements in theatrical motion pictures, TV, commercials, music videos and animated features. Winners will be announced April 10 during a virtual ceremony. Last year, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Avengers: Endgame and Parasite were the big film winners in the Period, Fantasy and Contemporary categories, respectively, with Hollywood going on to take the Production Design Oscar. TV winners included The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Cherrnobyl, The Big Bang Theory, Russian Doll, The Umbrella Academy and Drunk History . As previously announced, Ryan Murphy will receive the group’s Cinematic Imagery Award this year. The ADG Lifetime Achievement Awards, annually presented to outstanding individuals in each of the guild’s four crafts, will be announced shortly. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Passes ‘Titanic’ To Become #2 Film Ever Worldwide With $2.189B – International Box Office

2ND SUNDAY UPDATE, writethru after 8:14AM post : With an estimated $2,188.7M global through Sunday, Disney / Marvel ’s Avengers: Endgame has sailed past Titanic to become the No. 2 movie ever worldwide. The same goes for overseas where Endgame is also now No. 2 with a running cume of $1.569B . That’s after grossing a further $282.2M at the international box office in the sophomore session. Both globally and offshore, Endgame is still led by only Avatar . We earlier noted that Endgame was on its way to passing $2B global through Saturday, becoming only the fifth movie ever to hit that lofty benchmark (and Disney’s third). The 22nd MCU pic is now the fastest ever to the milestone — in just 11 days. Avatar , the previous record holder, did it in 47. With the Sunday estimates, there is now about $459M separating Endgame from Avatar overseas and roughly $600M worldwide.
