Vice TV has teamed with Jimmy Kimmel ’s Kimmelot and ITV America on Super Maximum Retro Sho w, a series based on the viral Super70sSports Twitter feed. Hosted by comedian Chris Distefano , Super Maximum Retro Show will premiere on Vice TV on Tuesday, March 7 at 10 PM. Super Maximum Retro Show comes from Ricky Cobb, who is behind the Twitter account, and will feature “the best, worst and most outrageous” videos, photos, ads and games from the 70s, 80s and 90s, In each episode the show’s guest panelists will comment, joke and make fun some of the most absurd things to come out of those decades in the pre-Internet era. GLAAD , the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, today announced the nominees for the 34th Annual GLAAD Media Awards . Current RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Salina EsTitties and Sasha Colby announced nominees in select GLAAD Media Awards categories in a ‘ GLAAD Drag Story Time’ video that just debuted on GLAAD’s YouTube. In the video, Sasha Colby commented on recent attacks on drag performers across the country: “Performers like us are being threatened with anti-LGBTQ bills, nasty protests, and even violence. You know what’s scary? People with guns, not queens with books!” In 2022, GLAAD found over 140 incidents of anti-LGBTQ protests and threats targeting drag events, including events run by the organization Drag Story Hour. Authentic Brands Group has hired former WarnerMedia exec Jessica Holscott as Chief Financial Officer. She succeeds Kevin Clarke, founding partner and longtime company leader, who is becoming the company’s Executive Vice Chairman. Authentic has a portfolio of several dozen entertainment, media and lifestyle brands (among them Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Muhammad Ali, plus apparel makers like Brooks Brothers and Reebok) generating $23 billion a year in retail sales in 150 countries. At WarnerMedia, Holscott was EVP and CFO of Studios and Networks. She previously held exec roles at HBO and GE Capital. As CFO of Authentic, Holscott will lead the company’s finance teams and work with founder, chairman and CEO Jamie Salter and the executive team to shape financial strategy and fiscal performance. Warner Bros. International Television Production Spain has hired former Mediaset España director Alberto Carullo as Head of Drama. Reporting to Sebastián Moguilevsky, Managing Director, Warner Bros. ITVP in Spain and Portugal, Carullo will lead the scripted department, as well as content development and production for networks and platforms in Spain and Latin America Warner has said Carullo’s new role will include the development and production of new projects, the adaptation of original content from the Warner Bros. factory, and the leadership of the series teams. Carullo will also be tasked with directing the business model of the production company’s scripted area, where he will focus on the relationship with screens and platforms, the creation of opportunities, co-productions, and the establishment of partnerships and synergies with other production companies. The UK’s Magravine is branching out into the U.S. The play comes as the management agency undergoes a major rebrand. Going forwards, the company co-founded by IMG and YouTube stars Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee will be known as MVE . A new company logo has also been created. The American arm will be called MVE US, and running it will be former Insanity Group execs Dean Ondrus Coulsom and Claudia Parrinello, who have been hired as Senior Vice Presidents. In the UK, Olivia Russo has been upped to General Manager. The MVE US roster will include fashion influencer Delaney Childs, Are You the One star Uche Nwosu and Clinton Moxam in LA and Canadian LGBTQ+ content creator Myles Sexton.
