TMZ.com Metallica front man James Hetfield just cashed out on some land he owned down in Arizona ... and he's pocketing six figures from the transaction. According to new legal docs ... James sold the 20 acres of vacant land he owned in Pima County for $1.2 million. The docs, obtained by TMZ, say James struck a deal with the Rosemont Copper Company ... and the corporation is paying the rocker in straight cash. Cha-ching!!! GIS Pima County James first bought the sprawling plot of land, which is near the United States border with Mexico, in 1998. Contradicting Alec Baldwin’s prior claims, the FBI forensic report on the Rust fatal shooting case claims that the gun used in the accident could not have been fired without pulling the trigger. Baldwin, the film’s producer and lead actor, shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set last year. He said he believed he was handling a “cold gun” without live ammunition. However, when the gun fired, a live bullet struck Hutchins, killing her. The film’s director, Joel Souza, was also wounded in the shooting. The FBI’s accidental discharge testing determined that .45 Colt (.45 Long Colt) caliber F.lli Pietta single-action revolver needed a trigger pull to fire. With the hammer in the quarter- and half-cock positions, the gun “could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger,” the report stated. This year’s Kennedy Center Honors will recognize artists from a wide swath of American culture, including soft rockers Eagles , singer-songwriter Carole King and Star Wars creator George Lucas . Actress and singer Rita Moreno, classical conductor Seiji Ozawa and actress Cicely Tyson will all also receive awards. The Honors recognize people whose “impact and genius” have left indelible marks on civilization, Kennedy Center Chairman David M. Rubenstein explained in a statement. The gala ceremony will be held in the recipients’ honor on December 6th at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. and will be broadcast on CBS at 9 p.m. EST on December 29th. Teddy Ray , whose viral social media presence marked him as a comedy star to watch, died Friday at age 32. Details on the cause and location have not yet surfaced. Ray’s death was confirmed by Comedy Central, who shared the caption, “Teddy Ray was a hilarious and beloved performer. He’ll be deeply missed by the entire comedy community.” A regular at comedy clubs across the country, he was a social media star on YouTube and other outlets.
