Breaking News Steven Tyler will NOT return to the judge's table on "American Idol" ... and has compared the show to a deranged bunny killer. Tyler completed two full seasons on the show ... beginning in 2010. Tyler has issued a statement saying, "After some long ... hard ... thoughts ... I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit.” The comment is a reference to the movie "Fatal Attraction" ... in which an obsessed woman kills her lover's daughter's pet rabbit. Tyler continued, "I strayed from my first love, AEROSMITH, and I’m back – but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band. Dropped by agents, careers chopped short, many women who brought harassment suits against the network say they've been branded as toxic in TV news and wear a Scarlett letter: "I couldn't bounce back." Julie Roginsky was optimistic walking into her first meeting with an agent after leaving Fox News in 2017. A charismatic Democratic strategist and daughter of Soviet dissidents, Roginsky supplied a rare progressive voice on Fox shows like The Five and Outnumbered. Roginsky seemed poised to transition from part-time commentator to one of the network's full-time co-host slots, a role that typically comes with a seven-figure salary and the promise of lucrative book deals and speaking fees. But in April 2017, Roginsky became one of several women who sued the network and its former CEO, Roger Ailes, for sexual … [Read more...] about Fox News Whistleblowers, Struggling for Work, Claim Widespread TV Industry Retaliation: “No One Was Hiring Me”
"Lift Our Voices" aims to fight corporate cover-ups of workplace abuses. Looking back on the day in July 2016 when she signed her historic $20 million sexual harassment settlement with Fox News, there is one thing Gretchen Carlson says she would do differently. "I knew my own personal experience, and it was an incredibly lonely, isolated experience," Carlson says. "I had no idea how pervasive this epidemic [of sexual harassment] was. I had no idea how it had been kept under wraps. Had I known what I know now, when I filed my case, I would have fought harder not to have an NDA." Three and a half years later, Carlson is fighting against nondisclosure agreements — her own and anyone else's — in a new initiative she's launching with fellow Fox alumna Julie Roginsky. The duo are creating an organization, Lift Our Voices, devoted to stopping companies from using NDAs to cover up incidents of workplace harassment and discrimination. Carlson and Roginsky say they will be asking … [Read more...] about Fox News Alums Gretchen Carlson, Julie Roginsky Launch Anti-NDA Initiative (Exclusive)
