Will Smith got double-ribbing at NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation Monday morning at Radio City Music Hall by both of NBC’s late-night hosts. Following Jimmy Fallon’s subtle reference at the start of the event to “nailing” the timing of Peacock’s Fresh Prince of Bel-Air drama reboot , whose run coincided with Will Smith’s infamous slap at the Oscars, Seth Meyers went further in his traditional NBCU upfront roast. “We are joined today by the talented cast of Peacock’s Bel-Air, a gritty dramatic reimagining of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air . “We were also treated this year to a gritty drama reimagining of Will Smith,” he said. A longtime NBC staple, the Golden Globes , which Meyers hosted in 2018, also were in the comedian’s crosshairs. After multiple controversies, including a lack at diversity at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which organizes the awards show, the network dropped the 2022 telecast. “It was a great year for live events on … [Read more...] about Seth Meyers Skewers Will Smith, Golden Globes & Reboots, Pitches ‘That Was Them’ Series In NBCUniversal Upfront Roast

How the Low- and No-Alcohol Movement Is Reshaping the Future of the ‘Drinking Occasion’
Opinions expressed are solely those of the author and do not reflect the views of Rolling Stone editors or publishers. At this point, you may have seen an advertisement for a non-alcoholic cocktail during the Super Bowl or perhaps a curated list of “mocktails” available at your favorite local restaurant. These “one-off” findings are part of what’s become a global movement taking shape in which many consumers are rethinking their relationship with hard alcohol. Within the first two weeks of January 2022 alone, NielsenIQ reported that low- and no-alcohol sales generated $106 million, with non-alcohol-specific sales bringing in $13.6 million. Additionally, as originally reported by the IWSR , the category overall has grown from $7.8 billion in 2018 to $10 billion in 2021 across various markets globally, such as the U.S., Canada and Japan. RS Recommends: Get Polk Audio’s Sound Bar and Subwoofer Combo for Just $179
If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Rolling Stone may receive an affiliate commission. It’s no secret that sound bars are a lot better than the speakers in your TV, and right now you get Polk’s Signa S2 Ultra-Slim Sound Bar for just $179 on Amazon (regularly $229+). This is one of the best deals for a sound bar and subwoofer combo, as $179 is a price you’d normally pay for just a sound bar itself. This Polk sound bar is only 2.15 inches tall, which means it can fit under your TV without cutting into the bottom of the screen. It’s a 2.1 sound bar, which means it has multiple drivers (the part of a speaker that produces sound), plus a subwoofer for added bass. It won’t replace a 5.1 home theater system, but the Signa S2 will produce excellent stereo sound. Amazon Buy: Polk Audio Signa S2 Ultra-Slim at $179.00 You can connect the Signa S2 to your TV with an HDMI, optical, or 3.5mm cable, and … [Read more...] about RS Recommends: Get Polk Audio’s Sound Bar and Subwoofer Combo for Just $179
