Horowitz was best known for his appearances on KNBC’s newscasts and Emmy-winning TV program “Fight Back! With David Horowitz” that investigated defective products, advertised claims and confronted companies with customer complaints. Born June 30, 1937 in the New York City borough of the Bronx, Horowitz received a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University in 1959 and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Horowitz worked at newspapers and television stations in the Midwest, including KRNT-TV (now KCCI), the CBS affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa. CHANNEL 4 still has a big appetite for The Great British Bake Off – and it is not risking rivals having a nibble at it. After just one series, bosses are already in secret talks to keep screening Bake Off when its current deal runs out in 2019. It is believed creators Love Productions are not demanding more than the £75million that saw Channel 4 bag the show. This will be a blow to the BBC, which lost Bake Off after seven series when Love upped the price by almost £20million. A source said: “The ink on Channel 4’s Bake Off deal has barely dried, but they’re not taking any chances of losing it like the BBC did. CHANNEL 4's revamp of Great British Bake Off continues with a new spin-off show Bake Off: The Professionals. It will replace the BBC's Bake Off: Creme De La Creme. Here's the lowdown on the new show... What is Bake Off: The Professionals and when does it start? Channel 4's new series will see 12 professional baking duos - yet to be announced - compete against each other in a series of heats. They will be judged by pastry chefs Cherish Finden and Benoit Blin who have held the same role since 2016. There will also be new hosts to replace Tom Kerridge and Angus Deayton.
