Rolling Stone , Twitch , and four of the platform’s top music personalities have banned forces for #TwitchHeatwave , a charity event livestreaming Thursday. The event kick off at 3 p.m. EDT with Rolling Ston e’s channel, featuring a live interview with senior writer Brittany Spanos. It will continue with live discussions led by professional music nerd Nardwuar , the Punk Rock MBA aka Finn McKenty , rappers-turned-late night talk show hosts Sir Michael Rocks and Owen Bones of Mystery School , and songwriter-producer Clinton Sparks. Rolling Stone will return to close out the event with a guest appearance by staff writer Tomás Mier. EXCLUSIVE : Magnum P.I. has been saved. It came down to the wire but a deal just closed for NBC to order 20 new episodes of the action drama starring Jay Hernandez following its cancellation by CBS last month, I have learned. I hear the 20 episodes will be split into two seasons, bringing the reboot’s  run to 96 episodes, with an option for more. In anticipation of the deal closing, CBS Studios, which co-produces the series with Universal TV, did not extend the options on the cast which expire at the end of day today, June 30, ahead of time, so the final stage of the negotiations stretched into the night tonight. With an agreements on the order reached, the cast are now being picked up and are finalizing deals to return for the new seasons. Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Tim Kang and Amy Hill star alongside Hernandez in the series. After two years on hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, VidCon — the annual convention for fans, creators, and online platform industry types — returned to the Anaheim Convention Center last week. But it looked a little different than usual. For starters, the ear-piercing shrieks of fans lining up to meet their favorite creators were just a little quieter. With 50,000 attendees as opposed to 2019’s 75,000, the convention was somewhat smaller than it previously had been.
