EXCLUSIVE : DC Young Fly , best known as a cast member of MTV’s long-running improv series, Wild ‘n Out , has been added to the cast of New Line ’s reimagining of the 1990 cult comedy House Party , produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter of The SpringHill Company . He’s joining previously announced stars Jorge Lendeborg Jr. and Tosin Cole in the film, which is being directed by Calmatic, marking his feature directorial debut. Emmy-nominated Atlanta writers Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori penned the script. Reginald Hudlin, who wrote and directed the original film starring hip hop duo Kid ‘n Play, will serve as executive producer alongside Warrington Hudlin as well as Spencer Beighley and Jamal Henderson for SpringHill. Richard Brener, Josh Mack, and Victoria Palmeri will oversee production for the studio. Oscar-winning writer-director Terry George ( Hotel Rwanda ) and Egyptian writer Mariam Naoum ( Between Two Seas ) have been attached to co-write the serial killer series The Alexandria Killings from Front Row Filmed Entertainment and Rocket Science ’s Middle East-based Yalla Yalla. Set in 1920 Alexandria when Egypt was under British rule, the series will chronicle the true story of Egyptian sisters Raya and Sakina. The sisters came from a poor Alexandria neighborhood and rose from poverty to run a glamorous brothel operation, drawing on a powerful and influential circle of Egyptian and British officers, informants, and statesmen. The rise and fall of their empire found the sisters relying more and more on petty theft, leading to the murder of 17 women in crimes of opportunity. Producers on the show are Gianluca Chakra, Thorsten Schumacher, and Terry George. EXCLUSIVE : The Boy George movie biopic, which is to be called Karma Chameleon , has moved from MGM to Millennium Media and is eyeing a summer 2021 start in London and Bulgaria, we can reveal. In a new video that we can debut on Deadline, the Culture Club frontman says a casting search is underway for the actor to play him. The singer also teases the casting of 1917 and Line Of Duty actor Danny Mays in the role of his father and claims “there are rumours of Keanu Reeves popping in.” The production declined to confirm either actor’s involvement.
