Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation have unveiled the official title and full cast for the third film in their hit animated musical franchise, Trolls , which opens in theaters nationwide on November 17. Returning to lead the threequel, Trolls Band Together , as expected, are Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick. Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti will star in an Off Broadway production of A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters for a (very) limited run: The production at the Irish Repertory Theatre will run from May 30 to June 4 for eight performances. The Gurney play will be the second of two parts of Irish Rep’s The Letters Series, which will kick off with Jerome Kilty & George Bernard Shaw’s Dear Liar starring Melissa Errico and David Staller. That play will start its eight-performance run on April 25 and conclude April 30. Both productions will be performed on the Irish Rep’s 148-seat Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage. Love Letters will be directed by Irish Rep producing director Ciarán O’Reilly, and Dear Liar will be directed by the company’s artistic director Charlotte Moore. The Roys are back with a vengeance. The Season 4 premiere of Succession drew an audience of 2.3M on Sunday across HBO Max and linear telecasts, which is a series high for same-day viewers. Total viewing for Sunday night was up 62% compared to Season 3’s premiere viewership of 1.4M in October 2021. At the time, that marked the best premiere night performance of any HBO original series since HBO Max launched in May 2020. Sunday’s viewership is also up about 33% from the Season 3 finale’s 1.7M. Season 3 averaged about 7.2M viewers per episode, according to HBO. HBO also says that all previous seasons of Succession saw a 4x increase in viewership in the week leading up to the Season 4 premiere, compared to the week prior. While viewing for Succession Season 4 does trail behind other Sunday shows like House of the Dragon, The Last of Us and Euphoria, the premiere episode tracked ahead of the Season 2 premiere of The White Lotus (1.9M). Back to the Future: The Musical will launch a North American tour in the summer of 2024, producers announced today. The tour will start less than a year after the show’s Broadway opening , scheduled for August 3 at the Winter Garden Theatre. The musical will open its tour at Playhouse Square in Cleveland in June 2024 and continue to the Belk Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, North Carolina the following month. The tour will tech and play preview performances at Proctors in Schenectady, New York.
