EXCLUSIVE: A film adaptation of the Jerry Torre memoir The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens is in the works by Unger Media . Torre’s story was detailed in the book co-authored by him and Tony Maietta released in 2018. Torre was nicknamed “The Marble Faun” by Edith Ewing Bouvier Beale and her daughter Edith Bouvier Beale, better known as Big Edie and Little Edie and the aunt and cousin, respectively, of former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. As a teen, Torre appeared in their 1975 documentary, Grey Gardens . The forthcoming film, also titled The Marble Faun of Grey Gardens, will tell the story of a gay teenage runaway from Brooklyn framing Big Edie and Little Edie as the misguided guardian angels in his life—and beyond. Eiza González & Aaron Paul To Star In Flying Lotus’s Sci-Fi ‘Ash’; “We ‘Bout To Kill This”, Says Director Ahead Of Filming
EXCLUSIVE : Eiza González ( Baby Driver ) and Aaron Paul ( Breaking Bad ) are attached to star in sci-fi thriller Ash , the sophomore feature from producer, rapper and filmmaker Flying Lotus ( Kuso ). Paul and González will replace Tessa Thompson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt who were previously announced last summer. Gonzalez will play a woman who wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed. She must decide whether she can trust the man (Paul) sent to rescue her. Flying Lotus is also set to compose an original score, with production due to start in New Zealand in May. Tango, the producer of the Sundance pic Shortcomings , is continuing to set up its future slate as it has come on to adapt the subversive rom com novel Book Lovers , into a feature film based on the #1 New York Times Bestseller from Emily Henry , the hit author behind three other New York Times Bestsellers over the last three years. Sarah Heyward is attached to write the script, which will be produced by Tango. ‘Succession’s Matthew Macfadyen Joins Marvel’s ‘Deadpool 3’
EXCLUSIVE: With the final season of his hit HBO series Succession premiering Sunday , Matthew Macfadyen looks to have found his follow-up project as sources tell Deadline the Emmy winner is the latest addition to Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3 . Ryan Reynolds is returning to star, with Hugh Jackman and The Crown ‘s Emma Corrin also on board. It is unknown who Macfadyen will be playing. Netflix has ordered Man on Fire , a drama series adaptation based on A.J. Quinnell’s Man on Fire and The Perfect Kill , the first two books in Quinnell’s five-book series. ‘Succession’ Soars To Series High Audience Of 2.3M For Final Season Premiere
The Roys are back with a vengeance. The Season 4 premiere of Succession drew an audience of 2.3M on Sunday across HBO Max and linear telecasts, which is a series high for same-day viewers. Total viewing for Sunday night was up 62% compared to Season 3’s premiere viewership of 1.4M in October 2021. At the time, that marked the best premiere night performance of any HBO original series since HBO Max launched in May 2020. Sunday’s viewership is also up about 33% from the Season 3 finale’s 1.7M. Season 3 averaged about 7.2M viewers per episode, according to HBO. HBO also says that all previous seasons of Succession saw a 4x increase in viewership in the week leading up to the Season 4 premiere, compared to the week prior.
