x Not only is Stephen King one of the most recognizable names in literature, but he’s also one of the most adapted writers ever to put pen to paper. With over 240 writing credits to his name, filmmakers and showrunners return to his work time and again in an attempt to deliver new takes on classic tales of drama and horror. That being said, the name of Stephen King is not always a guarantee of quality when it comes to movies and television. Screenwriters and directors have often taken his source material and delivered interpretations that have been decidedly below par – for example, 2003’s Dreamcatcher, or 1993’s The Tommyknockers. Ultimately, however, these unfortunate attempts only serve to make the successful projects, like It, all the more impressive. And now, to celebrate all that success, artist Jordan Monsell has put together an incredible tribute poster which has nearly 200 Easter eggs hidden within, all relating to … [Read more...] about Incredible Stephen King Tribute Poster Has Almost 200 Easter Eggs

By Craig Hlavaty Updated 1:47 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2016 Recently the Hennessey Performance team tested a specially-modified 2016 Chevy Camaro SS in Uvalde, Texas, with the aim of making it go as fast as possible. They were able to achieve a verified speed of 202.1 miles per hour on Feb. 25. This is the first Gen 6 Camaro to hit that speed record. RELATED: Hennessey Corvette Z06 goes faster on a Houston airport runway than a plane would need for takeoff However, this shouldn't come as too much of a shock. Hennessey could probably make a shopping cart hit 80 mph in the grocery store parking lot. The Sealy-based Hennessey team is known for pushing vehicles to the limit and this newest achievement is another in a long line of feats. Last year on the same 8.5 mile track in Uvalde they pushed a supercharged Mustang over 200 miles per hour mark. A GPS data logging system was used to verify the speed of the fiery red Camaro, driven by professional driver Brian Smith. I know this probably won't come as a surprise to many of you, but Avengers: Infinity War is said to be on track to explode at the box-office with a $175 to 200 million opening, and that's just counting the US box office. Those numbers could easily climb as we get closer to the release of the film. It should be noted that this is an industry prediction, not one officially released by from Disney. The mouse house is historically conservative with their projections. However, the current numbers are on par with the other big MCU movie openings that include The Avengers - $207.4M Black Panther - $202M Avengers: Age of Ultron - $191.3M Captain America: Civil War - $179.1M We all knew that Avengers: Infinity War was going to do very well at the box office. After all, every film MCU film that has been made has been leading up to this epic battle against Thanos as the heroes team up to try and stop him from collecting the Infinity Stones and destroying half the … [Read more...] about AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is on Track For a $200 Million Domestic Opening!
x As Avengers: Infinity War comes into focus, and Thanos’ all-consuming masterplan begins to take shape, we’re starting to form a better understanding of the Marvel event movie and, more specifically, its box office projections. Case in point: Deadline has crunched the latest numbers to reveal that Infinity War is now tracking for a suitably massive $200 million opening in North America, where it’s poised to blow every other April record – think Furious 7 ($147M) and Fate of the Furious ($98.7M) – out of the water. That tells us Joe and Anthony Russo’s blockbuster is well on its way to an April record, even if this $200 million-plus ballpark is an industry estimate, rather than an official projection by Disney, a studio that is typically conservative when it comes to box office estimates. Nevertheless, the pent-up demand for Infinity War and its 23-character smackdown is there for all to see. Back in March, online giant Fandango … [Read more...] about Box Office: Avengers: Infinity War Tracking For Huge $200 Million Opening
Avengers: Infinity War when it took only 6 hours to beat the all-time ticket sales record for a superhero movie on Fandango. There’s no doubt that the movie is going to slay the box office come opening night but just how big will it be? After Black Panther became a colossal hit, many have been wondering how close the box office gross for Avengers: Infinity War will land. Deadline is reporting that the early tracking for Avengers: Infinity War is putting it in the $200 million-plus club with Avengers and Black Panther. This tracking is an industry projection as opposed to a Disney projection, which tends to be more conservative than the final tally. As interesting as it is to study box office predictions and early tracking, I don’t think anybody is surprised to hear that the film could reach (or even surpass) $200 million in its opening weekend.
