The nonprofit Hollywood Partnership is opening a community dispatch center later this month. The goal is to focus on the entertainment district’s safety, cleaning, and hospitality. The organization services an area stretching from Hollywood Blvd. to La Brea, down to Sunset and the Hollywood 101 Freeway. Warner Bros Discovery and the European Broadcasting Union have won the auction for Olympic Games broadcasting rights between 2026 and 2032. Following a competitive tender put out by the International Olympic Committee ( IOC ), the pair’s joint bid was successful and will take the rights in 49 territories. This covers the Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortino in 2026, the Olympic Games in L.A. in 2028, the Winter Olympics of 2030 and the Brisbane Olympics in 2032, along with the Youth Olympic Games during the six-year period. WBD, in its previous guise as Discovery, first won the rights to the rights to the Games in 2015 in a €1.3BN ($1.4BN) deal struck through subsidiary Eurosports for the 2018-2024 period. It then broadcasted or sub-licensed those rights across the continent. EXCLUSIVE: Nick and Jon Hamm’s Free Turn Entertainment has hired Robbie Ashcroft as Managing Partner. Ashcroft will join London and Los Angeles-based Free Turn’s management team. He’s joining from The Story Lab and will work on its audio slate and new TV and film slate partnerships among other tasks. Ashcroft was most recently International Development Partner at The Story Lab, where he established a new development and production fund for “original audio projects with multiplatform potential” in partnership with Global Media and Entertainment. This led to the greenlight of podcasts such as John Sweeney’s Hunting Ghislaine . While at The Story Lab, which is the content arm of Japanese ad giant Dentsu, Ashcroft also managed a strategic partnership between the parent company and Yahoo to created mixed reality TV formats from an XR smartstage in Holborn, London. Jeremy Clarkson isn’t likely to make any more shows for Prime Video when his current commissioned seasons end. Deadline understands Clarkson, who makes The Grand Tour and Clarkson’s Farm for the streamer, will not sign another deal with Amazon Studios . New seasons that have already been commissioned will go ahead but he won’t likely be on Prime Video shows after 2024. The 2023 nominees for BAFTA’s Rising Star Award have been revealed, including actors from Gina Prince-Bythewood’s historical epic The Woman King and Sophie Hyde’s sex-positive drama Good Luck to You, Leo Grande .
