English actress Sylvia Syms has passed away in the UK aged 89, according to her family. Syms was best known for roles in movies including Ice Cold Alex , Victim , The Tamarind Seed and Stephen Frears’ The Queen , in which she played The Queen Mother. Syms passed away this morning at Denville Hall, a care home in London for those in the entertainment industry. In a statement shared with The Sun , Syms’ family said: “She has lived an amazing life and gave us joy and laughter right up to the end. Just yesterday we were reminiscing together about all our adventures. She will be so very missed. “We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Denville Hall for the truly excellent care they have taken of our Mum over the past year.” Syms was born in London in 1934 and attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Bravo dropped the trailer for their new limited series SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B and the stars are seen clashing. The show is set to premiere on Sunday, March 5 at 9:30 p.m. ET and you can watch a preview in the video posted above. One of the familiar faces in the new series is Kandi Burruss that is well-known to Bravo viewers as she is one of the stars on The Real Housewives of Atlanta . Maren Morris shared a sweet moment with the queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race when she apologized to them for the relationship country music has with members of the LGBTQ+ community. The country music star was a guest judge on the MTV competition and was featured in the aftershow Untucked where she had a conversation with the contestants. “Coming from country music and its relationship with LGBTQ+ members, I just want to say I’m sorry,” Morris said in the clip shared on the show’s Instagram page. “I love you guys for making me feel like a brave voice in country music. Bruce Gowers , a prolific and groundbreaking director of music videos whose work included the groundbreaking, much-imitated 1975 video for Queen’s “ Bohemian Rhapsody ,” died Sunday in Santa Monica of an acute respiratory infection. He was 82. Winning multiple Emmy, Grammy, MTV and DGA Awards as a director and producer, Gowers’ credits include hundreds of major television events, episodes and award shows including The Primetime Emmy Awards, The Billboard Awards, The MTV Video Music Awards, and, for eight seasons, American Idol , for which he won the 2009 Emmy for Best Musical Variety Director. George Santos has been having quite the year so far as the embattled congressman’s credentials have come into question. Late-night television has impersonated him and the U.S. representative is not impressed by any of them. “I have now been enshrined in late-night TV history with all these impersonations, but they are all TERRIBLE so far,” he tweeted . “ Jon Lovitz is supposed to be one of the greatest comedians of all time and that was embarrassing— for him not me! These comedians need to step their game up.” Santos was referring to Lovitz’s impersonation of him on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon from January 20th. Over the weekend, Saturday Night Live also took shots at Santos with Bowen Yang impersonating him. Alan Cumming has returned the honorary OBE award he received from the Queen in 2009 saying his eyes had been opened to the “toxicity” of the British Empire in the wake of her death in September.
