A company called K&K Promotions just filed suit against Disney, Pixar and whole a bunch of their subsidiaries ... claiming the stuntman driver toy that Keanu Reeves voiced in the latest 'Toy Story' flick is a clear and obvious rip-off of the legendary American motorcycle daredevil. More importantly, K&K claims they own all the rights to Evel Knievel's likeness, persona, and brand and says the Mouse House did NOT get any type of approval to base one of their characters after Evel. Robbie Knievel , son of superstar ’70s motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel and an accomplished showman in his own right, died in hospice care after a battle with pancreatic cancer, according to multiple reports. He was 60. Like his father, Kneivel was adroit at leveraging his abilities on a motorcycle into a media spectacle. Over the course of his career, he had eight live television specials centered around his feats. He soared over the fountains at Caesars Palace 22 years after his father famously crashed in a similar attempt. In a pay-per-view jump-off with British motorcycle stuntman Eddie Kidd, the duo jumped for distance in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. In 1998, Knievel attempted a record-breaking jump of 231 feet over 30 limousines at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas . His father was there to support him. Miss Universe Winner: USA Representative R’Bonney Gabriel Takes Crown
A new Miss Universe was crowned in New Orleans, Louisiana from the 84 beauty queens that entered the pageant. Harnaaz Sandhu, the representative from India and the titleholder from the previous year, crowned R’Bonney Gabriel of USA as the new Miss Universe. The second runner-up went to Andreina Martinez Founier of the Dominican Republic and the first runner-up was Amanda Dudamel of Venezuela. Gabriel is a fashion designer, model and sewing instructor. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design with a Minor in Fibers from the University of North Texas. Gabriel is also the CEO of her own sustainable clothing line. It's a few years in her future, but the "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star has a couple special conditions for her eventual prison release -- and, according to new docs we obtained, chief among them is a requirement to participate in a mental health treatment program. Jen was recently sentenced to 6.5 years behind bars in her wire fraud case, and she's supposed to surrender to authorities on February 17 to start serving her sentence at a federal penitentiary in Texas.
