CNN says it's gotten to the bottom of Anderson Cooper 's Trump -bashing tweet ... and all signs point to a forgetful assistant. The mystery was cleared up Wednesday when the network said the message was sent from Cooper's assistant in NYC, while Anderson was in D.C. CNN says the assistant, who's been on the job for 10 years, left his phone unlocked and unattended at the gym, and someone grabbed it and fired off the tweet. Ted Lasso Season 3 scored a goal for Apple TV+ with its premiere episode. About 870,000 Samba TV-measured U.S. households tuned in to the first episode in the first four days since it debuted on the streaming service, according to the audience analytics company. That’s up about 59% from the 546,000 households Samba measured for the Season 2 premiere. Of course, this doesn’t tell the whole viewing story, though it does give a pretty good picture of the premiere’s performance. Samba TV doesn’t measure mobile, however, their sample includes a panel of 3 million terrestrial TVs, weighted to the U.S. Census. By contrast, Samba TV’s panel is nearly 100x larger than Nielsen’s household footprint of 45K homes. Mick Brown -- the guy who bangs drums for Ted Nugent -- will pay dearly for his boozy joyride through a Maine town on a golf cart this summer ... TMZ has learned, he was ordered to cough up $1,000 in fines over the incident. Brown pled "guilty" to OWI today at the Penobscot Judicial Centre in Maine, stemming from his arrest in July -- when he hijacked a golf cart from backstage after a show ... and led police on a low-speed chase through a nearby town. Brown was sentenced to pay the fine. His driver's license was also suspended for 90 days. The other charges -- assault, theft by unauthorized use of property, and driving to endanger -- were all dismissed. Kasdan took to social media Thursday to reassure fans that a Season 2 has been written and he has every hope that it will eventually air, but not for at least the next 12 months. “A decision was made last week to release our main cast for other series opportunities that may arise for them in the coming year,” he wrote, taking issue with Deadline’s and other online reports of the series ending. He added that he feels “fairly confident that, if asked, neither I, nor the folks at Lucasfilm, would or have actually characterized it” as a final cancellation.
