EXCLUSIVE: Ilkkas’ Creative Studio (ICS), the Nordic creative hub launched last year, is planning to shake up Finland ’s approach to international scripted content. This morning at Series Mania in Lille, France, the Tampere-based ICS unveiled a strategic deal with Finland’s largest publisher, WSOY. At the center of the pact is a plan to “rethink the development of Finnish scripted content for international audiences,” and the partners are billing the agreement as a “landmark.” The pair will work on several projects and invite WSOY-affiliated authors to have a stake in the development. They say the collaborative approach to “internationalize and renew development and production methods hand in hand with authors” is a “unique” strategy. EXCLUSIVE: Kat Conner Sterling has been cast in Blumhouse ’s film adaptation of the popular video game Five Nights at Freddy’s . Cameras are rolling on the film in New Orleans. As previously announced, Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard and Mary Stuart Masterson also have been cast in the film, which is being directed by Emma Tammi ( The Wind , Blood Moon ). Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is working alongside Blumhouse to bring the game’s animatronics to life. Five Nights at Freddy’s follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through. EXCLUSIVE: Elizabeth Lail has joined the cast of Blumhouse ’s feature take of videogame Five Nights at Freddy’s , which is currently shooting in New Orleans. Lail can currently be seen in the comedy film Mack & Rita opposite Diane Keaton and Taylour Paige.  She also recently wrapped the film Gonzo Girl directed by Patricia Arquette and starring Willem Dafoe based on the Cheryl Della Pietra novel. Lail is best known for her lead role of Beck in Netflix’s smash hit You and recently starred as Jenny in NBC’s drama series Ordinary Joe . She also starred in STX Entertainment’s terrifying horror film, Countdown , the independent film Unintended , and had a recurring role in the HBO Max reboot of Gossip Girl . Andrew Lloyd Webber has announced the death of his eldest son Nicholas Lloyd Webber from gastric cancer. “I am shattered to have to announce that my beloved elder son Nick died a few hours ago in Basingstoke Hospital. His whole family is gathered together and we are all totally bereft. Thank you for all your thoughts during this difficult time.” The son’s illness was disclosed earlier this week by Lloyd Webber when the composer announced that he would miss the Broadway opening of his latest musical Bad Cinderella in order to remain by a hospitalized Nicholas. Andrew Lloyd Webber turned 75 on the night of the March 22 opening. Nicholas Lloyd Webber was 43 and had recently been moved from hospital to hospice care. Fresh from playing country music star Tammy Wynette, Jessica Chastain is swapping the microphone for a laptop. The George & Tammy star is to front Apple limited series The Savant . The eight-part series, which has been in the works for some time, comes from Anatomy of a Scandal co-creator Melissa James Gibson and is produced by Fifth Season and Anonymous Content. It will see Chastain play a top-secret investigator known as the Savant, who infiltrates online hate groups to take down the most violent men in the country.
