The Star Wars universe has a very large list of characters that appear throughout the movies, TV shows, novels, comic books and video games. When looking in the background of a Star Wars film, a character may appear as a simple extra but he or she may actually have a whole novel regarding their backstory. A fan with a particularly sharp eye from ScreenRant spotted one of these hidden characters. The character is Tam Posla, a bounty hunter expanded upon in Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide, was seen wandering around the city of Jedha in search of the iconic duo Ponda Baba and Doctor Evazan in Rogue One. Posla also appears in the comic book series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, so it’s not surprising that he’s continuing to branch out into other movies even if just for a cameo. Solo: A Star Wars Story last summer when Ron Howard took over directorial duties following the departure of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Powell, whose scoring credits include the Bourne series, Shrek, the first two Kung Fu Panda films and both How to Train Your Dragon films shared a post on his official Facebook revealing that he is currently hard at work scoring Solo: A Star Wars Story at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, England. SPOILERS for Star Wars Rebels series finale ahead!– The Rebellion’s victory at the Battle of Scarif in Rogue One is widely considered to be their first major victory over the Empire; it’s even referred to as such in A New Hope‘s opening crawl. But this week’s Star Wars Rebels series finale may have introduced a contradiction when it featured the rebels of Lothal also winning a huge victory over the Empire. In the Rebels finale, the Ghost Crew and their allies blow up the Imperial Complex on Lothal, eliminating practically all of the Empire’s forces on the planet. Afterwards, the few remaining Imperials in the city are swiftly dealt with and Lothal is liberated from the Empire’s control. And though there was a fear the Empire would return and punish the planet as retribution, the finale’s epilogue makes it clear that never happened. From this point on, Lothal is a free planet. It was a pretty safe bet that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was going to be a big hit for Disney and Lucasfilm at the box office, but the numbers are really starting to look impressive. The first ever live-action, theatrically released Star Wars movie to take place outside of the main Skywalker saga has won its third week in a row at the box office and that has pushed it into some very impressive territory. Star Wars: Rogue One is now officially the second highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office for 2016. Comicbook.com is reporting that after winning its third week at the box office, Star Wars: Rogue One has now grossed an estimated $441 million. That means on the domestic side of things, it has officially passed Captain America: Civil War.
