x We’re currently way overdue to learn the official title of Star Wars: Episode IX. The Last Jedi‘s title was revealed on the 23rd of January 2017, meaning there was a gap of 11 months where we could puzzle out what the hell it referred to before the film’s release. Now, with April just around the corner and Spring having officially sprung, we’re still in the dark about Episode IX. But venerable movie news site Ain’t It Cool News claims to have the official title and are telling us that it’ll actually be called Star Wars: Skywalkers. My instinctive reaction to seeing that is intense doubt. For one, the title simply being Skywalkers is a big departure from the pulpy and vaguely cryptic titles that the previous numbered entries in the series have sported. But Ain’t It Cool seem very confident in their source, explaining that: “According to the ever so mysterious Fantomcat, he or she has the title for “STAR WARS IX.” I can not … [Read more...] about New Leaked Title For Star Wars: Episode IX Is Absolutely Terrible

If the last week has revealed anything, it’s that Star Wars fandom is becoming increasingly impatient when it comes to the official release of the title for this December’s Star Wars: Episode IX. Similar to the anticipation for the title for Avengers 4, social media feeds have been becoming pre-occupied with the perhaps-imminent announcement, with almost every message from anyone connected to the movie — from Anthony Daniels to arch-fan troll Mark Hamill — being dissected for potential hints and clues about the title’s reveal. However, such fervor may be slightly unnecessary. In a recent tweet, Lucasfilm Story Group member Pablo Hidalgo told a fan “If [Episode IX] has a title, I don’t know it.” Assuming that Hidalgo was being honest — which seems like a fair assumption, if only because he has nothing to gain from lying about this — it suggests that perhaps the urgency felt about, and focus placed upon, the title of the movie … [Read more...] about Will ‘Star Wars IX’ Title Reveal Any Key Details?

The Mandalorian showrunner and Iron Man director, Jon Favreau shared a pair of prop photos for the upcoming Star Wars series. Also read: ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ Set Photo Reveals First Look At Orange X-Wing The images in question sadly didn’t give us anything of substance. The first one is that of what appears to be covered bucket with some mechanical functions but gives us no hints as to what it may be or what it is used for. The second image is that of rifle with what appears to be some kind of tuning fork/shock rod at its end. The weapon in question is similar to the weapon used by bounty hunter Boba Fett in his first appearance in The Star Wars Holiday Special. You can see the full images Favreau posted below: The series itself is set to focus on a bounty hunter who flees the New Republic after the fall of the Empire. General audiences probably best know the Mandalorians through the characters of Jango and Boba Fett in the both the … [Read more...] about ‘Star Wars’: Jon Favreau Teases Props For ‘The Mandalorian’
6 minutes ago It was just a few years ago that we were introduced to Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron and all the other major new players of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, but following The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, this era of a galaxy far, far away will conclude in late 2019 with the release of Episode IX. For this last chapter, J.J. Abrams returned to the director's chair, and Isaac has noticed that this time around, shooting has felt more laid back. The actor said: Oscar Isaac has been keeping busy lately with projects like The Addams Family animated movie and Triple Frontier, and currently he's deep into principal photography on Star Wars: Episode IX. As Isaac informed Indiewire, he plans on taking the next year off once Episode IX has wrapped, but for now, he hasn't been too worn down working on the space opera blockbuster. Sure the goal is to give audiences a great movie, but under J.J. Abrams' direction, Isaac feels that there's been less pressure and more opportunities to … [Read more...] about How Shooting Star Wars: Episode IX Is Different From The Other Movies, According To Oscar Isaac
