Fans were shocked to see Yoda’s force ghost appear to Luke in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The character has been a pop-culture icon ever since his first appearance in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Naturally, the character’s return to the screen was more than welcome. He was even shown as a puppet instead of the computer-animated rendering we saw in some of the prequels. Well, if a new rumor is to be believed, we haven’t seen the last of the little green Jedi. 22 hours ago Last year, fans were surprised by Yoda in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, who appeared in the film in a secret cameo. The wise Jedi master had some final words of wisdom to give his old apprentice Luke Skywalker before vanishing back to...wherever it is that Force ghosts hang out. Reportedly, Yoda will appear in Star Wars Episode IX and will have a scene with Rey. x Whether it’s Rey’s unremarkable parents or the death (?) of Luke Skywalker, it’s fair to say that The Last Jedi kicked up quite the fuss when it released back in December. Hell, there was even that online petition demanding that Rian Johnson’s sequel be struck from Star Wars canon. Now that’s divisive. To his credit, Johnson has been pretty forthcoming about his creative decisions, and one need only look to The Director and the Jedi, a behind-the-scenes featurette detailing the director’s journey while creating Episode VIII, for evidence of that. But if there was one thing that most people did like about the film, it was Yoda’s scene, which came as a welcome surprise. Many assumed this would be his only appearance in the Sequel Trilogy, too, and while there’s still no word from the studio on if he’ll appear in Star Wars: Episode IX or not, a new rumor’s cropped up that … [Read more...] about Yoda Rumored To Share A Scene With Rey In Star Wars: Episode IX
x The Star Wars world was left shaken last year when it was announced that director Colin Trevorrow had been fired from Episode IX. That catch-all term of “creative differences” was wheeled out as the excuse for why the relationship between Trevorrow and Lucasfilm was so untenable. However, we now know the specific reason as to why the studio and the filmmaker just couldn’t work together. Star Wars fan Mike Zeroh has posted a new video on YouTube in which he analyzes all the information we know about Trevorrow’s version of Episode IX and comes up with a pretty convincing solution as to why the director left the production. He claims that the big sticking point was the death of Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi. As Zeroh has it, Trevorrow wanted to get the chance to play with the iconic hero in his movie, but Lucasfilm backed director Rian Johnson’s decision to kill the Jedi master off in Episode VIII. “This is … [Read more...] about Was Colin Trevorrow Fired From Star Wars: Episode IX Because He Wanted Luke To Live?
Star Wars: Episode IX. Star Wars Episode VII has just recently released on Blu-ray and digital HD. There is no doubt it was one of the biggest films of 2017. This had a lot to do with a solid cast of actors and the return of a fan favorite, as The Last Jedi saw Carrie Fisher once again take on the role of General Leia. The former princess show offs some serious force abilities and definitely proved why she was promoted to general. She seemed poised to have a large part to finish her character’s run in Episode IX. Sadly, Carrie Fisher passed away in December 2016, leaving her character’s future with Star Wars a mystery. Also read: ‘Star Wars’: Simon Pegg Says J. J.
