EXCLUSIVE : Glenn Gordon Caron is returning to his long-time home, CBS TV Studios, with a multi-year overall deal. Under the pact, he will take over the studio’s freshman drama series Bull as executive producer and showrunner for Season 2. He will join the show effective immediately, consulting for the remainder of Season 1. Mark Goffman, who joined Bull after the pilot last spring, will continue as executive producer and showrunner for the rest of the current season, after which he will transition to development under his overall with CBS TV Studios . One of the nation’s largest pension funds is calling on CBS and Google parent Alphabet to end practices that it says helps abuse remain in the shadows. New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer said the city’s pension funds today submitted shareholder proposals to both companies, calling for an end to employment practices like mandatory arbitration and non-disclosure agreements. “When big corporations force their workers to sign away basic rights, investors have to fight back. These fine print agreements have damaging consequences for workers, investors, and the public,” Stringer said in a statement, adding, “As investors, these exploitative practices aren’t just wrong on a human level, they have a wide impact on our broader economy.” CBS and Alphabet each have confronted damaging sexual harassment allegations in recent months, and criticisms of hostile work environments.
