EXCLUSIVE: Looks like everyones favorite wisecracking superhero is being joined in the MCU by some old friends as sources tell Deadline Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams are joining star Ryan Reynolds in the next Deadpool sequel for Marvel. Soni and Uggams played fan favorites Dopinder and Blind Al that were in the first two installments of the blockbuster series. They join Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and the newest additions of the cast Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. Shawn Levy is on board to direct, with Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese returning to pen the script. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin wrote a previous draft. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will join Reynolds and Levy as producers. This will mark the first Deadpool film in which Marvel Studios will work hand in hand with Reynolds and Team Deadpool. CBS has renewed Blue Bloods for the 2023-24 season, which will be the cop drama stalwart’s 14th on the network. The cast of the series, including core original stars Tom Selleck , Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan and Will Estes, are set to return, along with its top producing team led by showrunner Kevin Wade. As Deadline reported after Blue Bloods was conspicuously missing from CBS’ list of drama series renewals last month, a pickup for the long-running hit was tied up in difficult negotiations, with CBS pushing for significant budget cuts, including 25% for above-the-line talent, including actors. Netflix has greenlit the new 2D animated series Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld from first-time showrunner Echo Wu and executive producers Ali Wong ( Beef ) and Aron Eli Coleite ( Locke & Key ). Wong will also star in the supernatural action series alongside Bowen Yang , Lori Tan Chinn , Lucy Liu , Jimmy O. Yang , Sheng Wang , and Woosung Kim . Grown-ish is coming to an end at Freeform . The series upcoming sixth season will be its last. Season 6 will air in two parts, with the first half premiering this summer. Season 6B will air in 2024. The series plans to welcome some big guest stars for the final season, including Lil Yachty, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals. During Season 6, Grown-ish will also hit its 100th episodes. Freeform recently underwent a regime change , as Tara Duncan relinquished her duties to focus on Onyx Collective, and Simran Sethi took charge of the youth-skewing cable network in addition to her ABC duties. There’s just one teensy little problem: Brunson appears unclear on the concept. Poor Kearney is just minding her own business while getting a drink at the watercooler when Brunson leaps from behind some boxes with flowers and candy and yells, “Prank!” — eliciting an old-school spit take.
