‘Criminal Minds’ Knocks ‘Bridgerton’ From Top Of Latest Nielsen Weekly Streaming Rankings

Netflix ’s offering of Criminal Minds was the most-viewed show on streaming platforms in the last week of January, according to Nielsen ’s latest Top 10 list released Thursday. The popularity of Criminal Minds been the fuel for news just this week. Paramount+ confirmed yesterday it is rebooting the hit CBS procedural , which ran from 2005-2020 and spawned two spinoffs, with a 10-episode season revolving around a single case. An unscripted companion series, tentatively titled The Real Criminal Minds , is also in the works. All 15 seasons of the original series will be on Paramount+, which launches March 4. The first 12 season will also remain on Netflix. FINAL UPDATE, Monday PM: All numbers are in, and Disney / Marvel ’s record domestic weekend moola marathon for Avengers: Endgame will settle at $357.1M . Disney called the weekend at $350M, but when you’re dealing with such high numbers and records, you don’t want to walk any money back on Monday. The rest of the town knew it was north of $354M on Sunday morning. Today we hear that Endgame is poised to make $33M-$35M which is awesome and easily the third best Monday of all-time, behind Black Panther ‘s all-time Presidents Day haul of $40.15M and the first Monday after Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($40.1M). Workaholics Movie Is Happening at Paramount+ with the Original Cast

Workaholics will return with an all-new movie on Paramount+. On Thursday, several major announcements were made about the new streaming service's upcoming content which includes revivals and reboots of several fan favorite TV shows from years past. The news also brought along the reveal that the streamer will exclusively host a new Workaholics movie with returning cast members Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, Anders Holm, and Kyle Newacheck. Running on Comedy Central for seven seasons, Workaholics was on the air from 2011 to 2017. Its cast is also behind most of the writing and creative direction of the series. The show follows a group of college dropouts and roommates who all work together at a telemarketing company in California. They often clash with co-workers and each other as they've never quite grown out of partying, drinking, smoking pot, and pulling pranks. Tom Cruise’s Mission 7 Will Hit OTT Platform Sooner; Paramount Slashes Theatrical Window To 45 Days

Paramount Pictures is the latest studio to slash the 90-day theatrical release window. ViacomCBS recently announced that the films releasing with the studio will now arrive on Paramount+ after 45 days in theatres. The studio's upcoming releases include Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible 7 and Emily Blunt's A Quiet Place Part II. The announcement made on Wednesday (February 24) came after other studios like Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. reached similar agreements with theatre chains in the US. Warner Bros.' Warner Media has also opted for a hybrid release for its upcoming platform HBO Max, which will stream films alongside theatrical releases. Coming back to Paramount, the studio in 2020 had to sacrifice on theatrical releases and opted to sell films' streaming rights to services like Netflix and Amazon.
