x The thing about shocking moments is that you never know when they’ll arrive. In the case of The Flash, one of season 4’s biggest surprises came this week when Clifford DeVoe overtook Ralph Dibny AKA the Elongated Man as his new host, thus making him more powerful than ever – and using those morphing abilities so the Thinker can finally be played by Neil Sandilands again. Face it, pretty much everyone who kept the seat warm for him paled in comparison. So, as we wait to see how the saga continues to unfold next week with “Fury Rogue,” we have two other favorites to welcome back to Central City, those being Citizen Cold and – get this – Black Siren. Now, we already knew that Earth-X’s Leo Snart would be stopping by for a short stay, but the femme fatale comes as a shock because we had no hint that she’d be involved until the following gallery was released. Hacker details how he could rick-roll all of San Francisco through its vulnerable siren system
A California hacker claims he figured out a way to hijack San Francisco's system of outdoor emergency sirens and could have rick-rolled the entire city — but he didn't. Instead, Balint Seeber acquired his own set of the popular public-address speakers from ATI Systems and used a $30 handheld radio to bust into the high-powered hardware and play Rick Astley's 1987 hit "Never Gonna Give You Up" for a demonstration video uploaded to YouTube Tuesday. Speaking to the Daily News by phone, Seeber said he was "surprised" when he moved to San Francisco in late 2015 and subsequently discovered the city's system of poll-mounted outdoor sirens were controlled by antennas and unencrypted radio signals, not a hard-wired network. The director of vulnerability research at Bastille Networks, Seeber said it wasn't too hard for him to isolate the system's frequency and discover it was susceptible to attack. "I knew this was critical infrastructure designed for public safety, that people rely on … [Read more...] about Hacker details how he could rick-roll all of San Francisco through its vulnerable siren system
