TMZSports.com NFL veteran and actor Chester Rogers will debut on 50 Cent 's hit show, "BMF" Thursday night, proving it's possible to juggle pro football and acting ... but it requires a helluva lot of "sacrifice" and "discipline." TMZ Sports spoke to Rogers -- who started acting at ten years old -- about landing a significant role on the show and how he manages to balance his career as a full-time football player and actor. Getty FYI, Rogers played for the Browns, Titans, and Colts over his 6 season NFL career, appearing in 72 games, and catching 141 balls for 1,522 yards and 6 touchdowns. Rupert Murdoch is scheduled to be deposed today and Friday in Dominion Voting Systems ’s $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News over its amplification of claims that the company was involved in rigging the 2020 presidential election. Murdoch is the latest high profile Fox figure to face questioning under oath in the discovery phase of the case, with CEO Lachlan Murdoch and Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott also having been deposed along with on-air figures including Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Maria Bartiromo. Murdoch is being questioned in Los Angeles on the Fox lot, according to NPR. A deposition scheduled for last month was delayed. This week, Dominion and Fox News each filed for motions for summary judgment in the case, asking a Delaware judge to issue a ruling in their favor in advance of the trial, scheduled to begin in April. In a nutshell the brilliantly hilarious, pertinent, and wickedly smart new movie, You People is in some ways a new age Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner, that landmark 1967 Tracy-Hepburn-Poitier Oscar winning comedy about the effect an interracial relationship has on the parents of the young couple. Of course back then it was a major social issue and even had trouble booking some southern theatres. The idea was switched in a Bernie Mac/Ashton Kutcher 2005 remake that all those years later did not have the same impact. With anti-semitism and racism back on the rise in 2023 America however the concept of an interracial/interfaith marriage, Black and White, Jew and Muslim, could not be more timely or needed, and in co-star Jonah Hill ’s and director Kenya Barris ’ whipsmart screenplay is also a knock-you-out-of- your-seat laugh riot. Sam Smith debuted the title track of their upcoming album “Gloria” on Saturday Night Live . There was a special guest for the occasion, Sharon Stone . The Oscar-nominated actor, the star of the Sidney Lumet-directed 1999 movie Gloria , a remake of John Cassavetes’ film of the same name, was part of the elaborate music production, which featured Smith surrounded by a large choir. In some sort of surreal performance art, Stone was lying on a bed for most of the song, then dramatically got up toward the end. Smith released Gloria two days ago, ahead of their stint as musical guest on the NBC sketch program; the album, Smith’s fourth, is coming out Jan. 27. Stone has hosted SNL once, in 1992, shortly after the release of Basic Instinct , which catapulted her to global stardom. She was frequently impersonated on the show by Amy Poehler who, coincidentally, also made an appearance tonight to reprise her Parks & Recreation character.
