Following the departure of Abhishek Rege, Banijay has appointed Rishi Negi as CEO of Endemol Shine India . Negi joins from Banijay Asia, where he has served as Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, he will oversee the existing team, day-to-day affairs and productions. At Banijay Asia, Negi supported CEO Deepak Dhar and the wider business, with all operational, commercial, financial and general business-driven strategic matters. He joined the group with over two decades of experience in hospitality, entertainment, and retail, having worked for the Taj Group of hotels and Emerald Asia Media Fame India Limited, among others. Negi will report to Banijay COO, Peter Langengerg, who oversees the region. Roku has teamed with NBCUniversal to offer eight local NBC stations as free offerings on its popular Roku Channel . It is the first time local stations will be on the Roku Channel, which the company says has reach to households with 80 million people. The National Association of Television Program Executives ( NATPE ) is moving its flagship January event from its long-time home in Miami 180 miles across the water to a new base in Nassau in the Bahamas . The plan, which many international execs have been aware of for several months, takes NATPE to the Bahamas Mar Resort and Conference Center from next year’s event, which takes place on January 17-19. This marks the first time NATPE will not take place on American soil. The Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami has been NATPE’s home since 2011, though the previous two editions have been held online due to the Covid pandemic. Prior to that it was held in Las Vegas and further back in cities such as New Orleans, LA, New York, Houston and San Francisco. Claws executive producer/showrunner Janine Sherman Barrois has signed a new, exclusive multi-year overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. Under the pact, Sherman Barrois will continue to run Claws , produced by WBTV’s Warner Horizon Scripted Television, as well as develop new projects for the studio. Sherman Barrois boarded Claws in the pilot stage under her previous overall deal at WBTV. The Florida nail salon dramedy, starring Niecy Nash and Carrie Preston, was a breakout for TNT, ranking as its highest rated series in the adults 18-49 demographic. Season 2 premieres June 10. Sherman Barrois was a graduate of the Warner Bros.
