A man who was seen beating family members in the viral video of a fight at Disneyland in July pleaded guilty today and immediately was sentenced to six months in jail. Two others involved in the brawl failed to appear for their court date in Fullerton, and warrants have been issued for their arrest. Avery Robinson of Las Vegas pleaded guilty to one felony count and multiple misdemeanors in a plea deal with Orange County prosecutors. He originally faced five felony charges and nine misdemeanors over the fight at the Anaheim park. His sister, Andrea Robinson, and her husband, Daman Petrie, both of Compton, failed to appear before Orange County Superior Court Judge Scott Steiner and now are fugitives from justice. She was charged with five misdemeanors, and he faced one misdemeanor count of battery. The couple also missed their arraignment in September. The trio involved in a virally viewed fight at Disneyland earlier this month are now facing a TKO of child endangerment felony charges and misdemeanors that could see them in jail for years. “The Orange County District Attorney ’s Office does not tolerate domestic violence or child endangerment anywhere,” said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer today as the criminal charges were announced stemming from the July 6 incident in Toon Town. Police Launch Probe Into Disneyland Brawl Caught On Viral Video
Anaheim police are taking a closer look at a fight that broke out over the weekend at Disneyland , leaving park visitors in shock and children in tears. Officers were called to the theme park Saturday to help break up the fight involving four family members in Mickey’s Toontown, according to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Daron Wyatt. By the time police arrived, the family members had stopped fighting and officers simply made a report. “They were all uncooperative and didn’t want anything done, and we didn’t have the luxury of viewing the video at that time, so we wrote a report,” Wyatt stated. On Sunday, cell phone video of the brawl was posted across social media and went viral, prompting police to launch an investigation. Taipei-based international sales company Distribution Workshop will be selling Lunar New Year hit Hidden Blade , starring Tony Leung Chiu-wai, and Wong Ching-po’s highly-anticipated new film, The Pig, The Snake And The Pigeon , at the upcoming European Film Market ( EFM ) in Berlin. Directed by Cheng Er, Hidden Blade is a spy thriller set in Shanghai during the Second World War, and also stars Wang Yibo ( Born To Fly ) and Zhou Xun ( Our Time Will Come ). The $45m production has so far grossed $116.6M since its release over the Lunar New Year holidays on January 22, according to figures from Artisan Gateway.
