Comedy Central continues to lean hard on the Broad City talent pool, ordering a new series from one cast member and developing projects from several of its scribes. The network unveiled its 2018-19 development slate on Tuesday, coinciding with cable upfronts, and it includes two series orders — one for a comedy vehicle from Broad City alum Arturo Castro and another for a weekly stand-up series set at New York's famous Comedy Cellar. 6 minutes ago Comedy Central has had a ton of hits over the years. While shows like South Park seem to be running indefinitely, the networks's scripted live-action projects eventually must come to an end. We've seen classics like The Chapelle's Show and Key & Peele come and go throughout the years, and unfortunately the time will soon come to say goodbye to another Comedy Central original series. Prepare for kweens everywhere to weep, because following the upcoming fifth season, Broad City will conclude its run on the network for good. While this news is enough to get any Broad City crying in a corner and clutching their Bingo Bronson, it isn't all bad news. Abbi and Ilana's misadventures in the city might finally come to an end, but that doesn't mean the real-life creators are going anywhere. Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer have actually signed a deal with Viacom to develop new content, meaning that the twisted and slightly marijuana-infused perspective broads will be back to … [Read more...] about Broad City Is Ending After Season 5 On Comedy Central
