Netflix has released the key art for its anticipated One Piece live-action series based on one of the best-selling manga titles of all time. The series is slated to premiere later this year. The key art poster reveals Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, wearing the character’s signature red vest and straw hat. Legendary Entertainment is partnering with Caroline Fraser of HarperCollins Productions ( Carmen Sandiego ) to produce a live-action Danny and the Dinosaur film, based on the bestselling children’s picture book series by Syd Hoff . HarperCollins Productions optioned media rights to the series from the Author’s Guild Foundation, which shares them with the Anti-Defamation League Foundation, ORT America, Inc., and the United Negro College Fund, Inc. The original book, published by HarperCollins in 1958, follows a young boy and a dinosaur who set off on a series of wonderful adventures together after meeting at a museum. It was followed up by six sequels penned by Hoff, with the full set selling more than 11 million copies in 12 languages. Hoff penned dozens of books for both children and adult readers prior to his passing in May 2004 at age 91. BBC News’ journalists failure to understand “basic economics” is bringing a “high risk to impartiality,” according to a BBC-commissioned report. The finding was contained in the first BBC impartiality review, of which several more will be published over the coming months. Since taking on the role in September 2020, BBC Director General Tim Davie has prioritized overcoming issues with impartiality at a time when the corporation is under the government spotlight. Today’s Review of the impartiality of BBC coverage of taxation, public spending, government borrowing and debt judged BBC News innocent of displaying deliberate political bias but highlighted several pitfalls. Responding, the BBC Board said Davie and his team will address the issues presented in the review with a proposed action plan. According to the contract, obtained by TMZ, the $5 mil is an "advance" on any earnings the winner brings in from record sales, the official tour and more ... during the 5 years. As TMZ first reported, Entertainment Travel Company claims that Global Live (the company behind the Michael Jackson tribute concert last week) owes $200,000 for plane tickets the company booked for the Jackson family, Christina Aguilera , her crew, Jamie Foxx , Heavy D , roughly 15 Global Live employees and others. Now a rep for Entertainment Travel Company tells us they had no choice but to yank the tickets which were earmarked for two members of the band 3T (TJ and Taryll) and two of their children ... because of the unpaid tab.
