EXCLUSIVE: Fifth Season ’s COO Tim Robinson has left the Severance producer after four years. Robinson, a former Shine Group and Avalon boss, joined Fifth Season in 2018. The Brit has been working out of its LA base but exited recently. Robinson is well respected and much liked at Fifth Season, which was formerly known as Endeavor Content. He played a key role in the company’s sale to South Korean powerhouse CJ ENM last year and the subsequent rebrand to its new identity. CJ ENM bought 80% of Fifth Season for $785M, with Endeavor retaining the other 20%. The departure is understood to be amicable and Robinson is believed to be exploring new opportunities. Apple TV+ has unveiled the first look at new series Hello Tomorrow ! , starring and executive produced by Billy Crudup and The Last Thing He Told Me , starring and EP’ed by Jennifer Garner , and revealed the premiere date for Season 2 of Schmigadoon! . The streaming network has set Friday, April 7 for the Season 2 premiere of Schmigadoon! AMC Networks Confirms In-Person Upfront Event For Advertisers In April
AMC Networks is choosing to host an in-person event during the spring upfront season, confirming plans for a presentation for about 200 to 250 guests. The event, slated for Tuesday, April 18, at New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center, will resemble last year’s pitch to advertisers at Peak, a restaurant near the top of a Hudson Yards skyscraper. AMC Networks has entered some choppy waters of late, with the abrupt departure last November of CEO Christina Spade after just three months in the job. James Dolan, whose family controls most of the company’s shares, was named interim executive chairman after the company signaled its intent to lay off 20% of its workforce, citing ongoing cord-cutting and other economic pressures.
