Endeavour , the PBS Masterpiece detective drama that stars Shaun Evans and Roger Allam, will return for its ninth and final season on June 18. Inspired by Inspector Morse , the spinoff set in the ’70s will wrap with Endeavour Morse (Evans) and his superior officer Fred Thursday (Allam) facing new crimes and an unsolved case from the past. Jack Bannon ( Pennyworth ) will return as Sam, while other characters from former seasons are expected to appear in the finale. ‘Lingo’s Final Four Episodes Of Season 1 Pushed To 2023-24 Season
Lingo is on the move. CBS has pushed the final four episodes of the RuPaul Charles-hosted quiz show’s first season to the 2023/24 season. The show was renewed for a second season last month and those four episodes will now air as part of that run. Lingo aired on Wednesdays at 9pm and has been replaced by repeats of FBI: Most Wanted, FBI, FBI: International and CSI: Vegas over the next four weeks. Survivor and True Lies remain part of the Wednesday lineup. The game sees teams of two contestants face off in fast-paced puzzle rounds to guess letters that reveal seemingly simple words. At the end of each one-hour episode, the two winning teams will make it through to a final showdown where one will walk away with an additional big cash prize. Smash is finally heading to Broadway . In an announcement long awaited by fans of the 2012 NBC series, a stage musical adaptation is planned to arrive on Broadway during the 2024-25 season, with a lead producing team of Robert Greenblatt, Neil Meron and Steven Spielberg . A top flight creative team is attached, including director Susan Stroman, composers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman , book writers Rick Elice and Bob Martin, and the TV series’ choreographer Joshua Bergasse. Spielberg, whose original idea led to the NBC series, said in a statement, “ Smash is near and dear to my heart, and it was always my hope that a musical inspired by the show would eventually come to the stage.
