The announcement of the show cancelations in Zurich and Milan was made on Clapton’s official Facebook page last night. “Eric Clapton is unfortunately suffering from Covid having tested positive shortly after the second concert at the Royal Albert Hall,” the post reads. He has been told by his medical advisors that if he were to resume traveling and performing too soon, it could substantially delay his full recovery. Eric is also anxious to avoid passing on any infection to any of his band, crew, Promoters, their staff and of course the fans.” The performance in Zurich was scheduled for today, May 17, with Milan initially set for May 18. That means creating an NFT -- non-fungible token -- from the original artwork ... a controversial piece depicting Pac as Jesus Christ wearing his crown of thorns while nailed to the cross. IATSE Diversity Committee Urges Congress & Joe Biden To Take “Decisive Action” In Wake Of Buffalo Mass Shooting
In the wake of the racially motivated mass shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo, NY, the IATSE Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee is urging Congress and the Joe Biden administration “to take decisive federal action to combat the rise of racial violence in America.” “The IATSE and entire labor movement is completely shattered by the senseless and horrific act that occurred on Saturday,” the committee said in a statement posted on the union’s website. “This racially motivated hate crime which took the innocent lives of 10 and wounded three in Buffalo, New York, is a hate-fueled domestic terrorism crisis toward Black people and the larger BIPOC communities in our country. “We urge the Biden Administration and the United States Congress to take decisive federal action to combat the rise of racial violence in America. Military List of UFO Sightings Has More Than Doubled in the Past Year, Navy Official Says at Hearing
Congress held its first hearing on UFOs in over 50 years on Tuesday, and it turns out there have been a lot more reported UFO — or UAP, unidentified aerial phenomenon — sightings than previously believed. A Navy intelligence official told lawmakers that the military’s database on reported sightings of UAPs now contains about 400 incidents, 250 more than the 143 included in a report released last year . Despite the uptick in reported incidents, Bray said the military has yet to find evidence of anything “nonterrestrial in origin.” One reason for the increase is that people are now describing encounters that they didn’t report at the time, said Scott Bray, deputy director of Naval intelligence. The military has also been working to remove the stigma associated with reporting UAPs, and making it easier to do so. “Navy and air force crews now have step-by-step procedures for reporting UAPs on their kneeboard, in the cockpit,” Bray added, according to NPR . Bray also cited … [Read more...] about Military List of UFO Sightings Has More Than Doubled in the Past Year, Navy Official Says at Hearing

Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Platt Release New Song for March for Our Lives
Two Broadway superpowers teamed for a new charity single Monday as Hamilton ‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda and Dear Evan Hansen ‘s Ben Platt unveiled the video for “Found/Tonight,” a mash-up of Hamilton ‘s “The Story of Tonight” and Dear Evan Hansen ‘s “You Will Be Found.” The video finds Miranda and Platt – a “Musical Theater Marvel/DC crossover,” with Platt as Superman, as the Hamilton creator tweeted – combining their respective ballads in the studio. Proceeds from the download of “Found/Tonight” will benefit March for Our Lives , which is leading the rally on Washington, D.C. on March 24th to protest the government’s inactivity on gun control. “In the wake of Parkland, I was awestruck by the strength and leadership of the students and their ability to speak truth to power,” Miranda said in a statement. “In the midst of their grief, they mobilized the youth of our nation and created a movement. This is their moment. Not just for themselves, but for all of us. This … [Read more...] about Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Platt Release New Song for March for Our Lives

@jeremycorbell / Instagram UPDATE 11:39 AM PT -- UFO expert Jeremy Corbell -- who's long been calling on the U.S. government to take UFOs seriously -- is ecstatic about the way Congress is tackling the issue in some high-profile hearings that are shedding a bit more light on the unexplained phenomena. UPDATE Corbell came on "TMZ Live" Tuesday to give us his thoughts on what he makes of the discussions being held on Capitol Hill this week -- where different congressmen have called the UFOs described by the Pentagon as legitimate threats against our national security. UPDATE TMZ.com UPDATE JC says here that he couldn't agree more, and is clearly over the moon at the idea that we as a society can finally talk about this subject out in the open and without ridicule ... which he's been working toward for years now. UPDATE On the issue of whether UFOs point to alien life in and of themselves -- he stops short of saying they're a smoking gun, … [Read more...] about UFO Hearing Underway, Jeremy Corbell Praises Officials’ Seriousness
