Her role will be absorbed by Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel Horacio Gutierrez. She joined the company in 2014 as principal counsel, later serving as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, as well as Global Deputy Chief Compliance Counsel. The corporate compliance function oversees compliance with Disney’s global ethics and standards of business conduct and manages regulatory compliance with anti-corruption and trade law. Disney under chief executive Bob Iger is in the midst of a sweeping overhaul that includes rounds of layoffs – the first starting this week – in a push to cut billions in costs against an uncertain background for media and the broader economy. ‘Squid Game’ Star Hoyeon Joins Michael Fassbender & Alicia Vikander In Korean Thriller ‘Hope’

Emmy-nominated Korean actress and model Hoyeon , who made waves with Netflix’s Squid Game , is set to make her feature debut in director Na Hong-Jin ’s Korean thriller Hope , which we revealed earlier today . This is the first project from acclaimed Korean director Na since 2016 hit The Wailing , and it’ll mark Hoyeon’s first starring role in a Korean project since she made her screen debut in Squid Game . John Grisham Sequel To ‘The Firm’ Coming From Doubleday: ‘The Exchange’ Arrives This Fall
Doubleday will publish the sequel to John Grisham ’s bestseller The Firm this fall. The new legal thriller, titled The Exchange: After The Firm , will mark the return of protagonist Mitch McDeere; publication date is October 17. The announcement was made today by Grisham’s publisher, Suzanne Herz, EVP, Publisher Vintage/Anchor Books, and rights to the work were sold by David Gernert at The Gernert Company. The book will be published by Doubleday in hardcover, as an ebook, and in audio by Penguin Random House. Anchor will published it in trade paper a year later. David Zaslav ’s compensation for 2022 totaled nearly $39.3 million, hefty but well down from the previous year when the figure was swelled to $246 million by a large option grant. According to the company’s proxy filed with the SEC today, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery , which merged a year ago, had a base salary of $3 million, stock and option awards of, respectively, $1.2 million and $1.4 million, and non-equity incentive plan compensation (like a cash bonus) of $21 million. WBD also set May 8 for its annual meeting of shareholders. The proxy lists the salaries of the top five highest-paid executives.
