Original Wizard of Oz Ruby Slippers Recovered After Being Stolen 13 Years Ago
A genuine piece of cinema and pop culture history has been recovered by the FBI. One of only four pairs of Judy Garland's ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz were stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota more than a decade ago in August of 2005. After years of searching, the slippers have been recovered following a year-long investigation. Special Agent Christopher Dudley, who led the investigation from the FBI's Minneapolis Division, had this to say. The FBI was working from a tip they received in summer 2017. An individual came to the company that insured the slippers, saying he had information about the shoes and how they could be returned. It became clear the individual was attempting to extort the rightful owners. Following an undercover operation in Minneapolis, the slippers were successfully recovered. CNN’s John King on Ohio Special Election: Big Deal That This ‘Ruby Red’ District Is Too Close to Call
One of the most-watched election races tonight is the Ohio 12th district special election between Republican Troy Balderson and Danny O’Connor, and a lot of people have been watching closely as it’s too close to call. As CNN’s John King was updating viewers on Cuomo Prime Time, O’Connor was leading Balderson by 155 votes. By the time the segment ended Balderson was back in the lead by 1031 votes. King broke down the numbers tonight compared to elections in the past few cycles, and Chris Cuomon noted how the 12th is “GOP ruby red.” King concluded with this: “This district is ruby red Republican. HELEN Flangan and Scott Sinclair have welcomed a baby girl to their family. The Coronation Street actress gave birth to daughter Delilah Ruby Sinclair yesterday and the couple announced their happy news with a touching photo of Scott with his new daughter. Helen posted a series of pictures of her new daughter, including one with her toddler Matilda welcoming her new baby sister. She captioned the smiling picture: "So lucky. Matila was very quiet at the hospital." The Rosie Webster actress also revealed parts of her labour to her fans. She wrote: "Our beautiful precious daughter Delilah Ruby Sinclair was born yesterday on the 22nd of June at 5.18pm weighing 6lbs 15oz. Red Schoendienst dies at 95, was oldest living Hall of Famer

Schoendienst, the Hall of Fame second baseman who managed St. Louis to two pennants and a World Series championship in the 1960s, died Wednesday. He was 95. The Cardinals announced Schoendienst's death before the third inning of their game against the Miami Marlins. A photo was shown on the video board with "1923-2018" written below. Fans gave a standing ovation, while players stood and applauded. "Red Schoendienst was one of the most beloved figures in the rich history of the St. Louis Cardinals, the franchise he served for 67 years," Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement. "He was a wonderful ambassador for our game."
